Lufkin and Sterling win puts West brook in.   Sterling beat GCM earlier in the year by 7

Lufkin would be 5-3.    Three way tie Sterling  GCM  West Brook..   West Brook goes in on points.

That’s what @Matthew328 & I had using points. I didn’t see any differences in using points or H2H. Maybe just a coincidence. Or, maybe I missed something.

10-3A D1

Orangefield and Anahuac has clinched playoff spots. Orangefield has clinched #1 seed. Anahuac has clinched #2 seed. Here are the current standings:

1. Orangefield       (5-0)        play Tarkington

2. Anahuac           (4-1)         play Coldspring

3. East Chambers   (3-2)       play Kirbyville

4. Buna              (3-3)            off

5. Kirbyville        (2-3)          play East Chambers

East Chambers can clinch #3 seed with a win or a 10 point or less loss to Kirbyville.

Buna can clinch #4 seed with an East Chambers win. An EC loss of any kind would eliminate Buna from playoff spot.

Kirbyville can get #3 seed with an 11 point or more win over EC. Can get #4 seed with a 10 point or less win over EC. A loss would eliminate Kirbyville.

Point totals for these three with Kirbyville/EC game to be played:

EC           +18

Kirbyville   -4

Buna          -14

This district plays 9-3A D1

This is what was sent to me about this district.

Ashly, here is our district scenario.

We have also clinched

East Chambers +18 with Kirbyville left

Kirbyville -4 with East Chambers left

Buna -14 done

Orangefield 1st seed

Anahuac 2nd seed

EC win, EC 3rd seed

Buna 4th seed

Kirbyville win by 1-10 points.

EC 3rd seed

Kirbyville 4th seed

Kirbyville win by 11 points or more

Kirbyville 3rd seed

EC 4th seed

Orangefield, Anahuac and EC have clinched

Correct. EC has clinched. I failed to put them as clinched.

Their seed is still to be determined.

I'll correct.

Correct I messed that one up. It will go H2H and then points even in a 3 way tie. Ill update it.

Lufkin and United both win would leave

United 4-4

Westbrook 4-4

GCM 4-4

H2H would all be 1-1 against each other now so they go to points where United gets left out mainly because the 28-14 loss to Westbrook. And now Westbrook gets in because they end up +7. GCM ends up at +4 and United ends at -11.

Lufkin loss and a United win would leave

Lufkin 4-4

United 4-4

Westbrook 4-4

GCM 4-4

After H2H United and GCM both get in because they both went 2-1. Westbrook and Lufkin 1-2. No need for points.

Lufkin and Sterling win would leave

Lufkin 4-4

Sterling 4-4

Westbrook 4-4

GCM 4-4

H2H would have Lufkin and GCM 2-1 vs the field and WestBrook and Sterling both 1-2. Lufkin GCM advance

Sterling and Lufkin win followed by a Westbrook loss to Ball would leave

Sterling 4-4

GCM 4-4

Sterling gets in based on H2H win over GCM. United and WestBrook finish district with 3 wins each and Lufkin at 5 wins. No other combo can Sterling get in.

Lufkin and United both lose would leave

Lufkin 4-4

Westbrook 4-4

GCM 4-4

Sterling 4-4

H2H leaves Lufkin and GCM at 2-1 vs the field and both in.

I tried to edit the original post but its not letting me. If Lufkin and Sterling both win. Westbrook will get in as the #4 leaving out GCM and Sterling

I would expect nothing less. I’ve seen a couple Lufkin games this year. Before the season began, I had 9-5A as LP, PAM, GCM/Lufkin interchangeable. I still haven’t given up on that prediction. But, I’d obviously prefer it to happen with a loss by y’all and BU. Sorry.

I actually think both are likely.

As far as rest, LP is a lot more than just Simon. He only has 3 games all year with over 20 carries. He still has almost 1600 yards rushing and 21 TD’s. Our Sophomore RB Dieudonne has right at 700 yards and 11 TD’s. So, teams can’t just focus on Simon in the run game. LP is also a lot more balanced this year. About 65/35 mix. (Over 1500 yards passing, 19 TD’s, 1 INT & over 2700 yards rushing with 39 TD’s.)

In district play, LP is averaging 53 ppg, and giving up 24 ppg. LP’s D isn’t near what some may believe. Many of those points given up were after the games were already decided.

It’s good to have some Lufkin posters here posting finally. I’m kind of outside the SETX core area also. It’s kinda lonely. 😎

We're not as active as we once were plus we have our on site. I like to creep over here from time to time lol

Sounds to me like the coaches in 9-5AD1 aren't even together on the tiebreak system. If they put it to a vote, it will probably end up in a tie 4-4, with La Porte abstaining because they don't care. 🤣😂🤣
