cal81 Posted Saturday at 04:24 AM Report Posted Saturday at 04:24 AM PN-G taking care of business and is rolling going into the playoffs. Backups were in the game in the 1st Qtr and multiple new kids from JV in for most of the game. Coach Joseph and his program is proven and has the hardware to back it up. It's difficult to get to the state championship and he did it his first 2 years and won one of them. The coaching staff deserves a lot of credit to prepare the players and then get them to execute and make adjustments along the way when needed. All of the sub-varsity teams down to the middle schools are having success. Great job all around. A state championship is not just words or a wish. It's achievable. That's the standard that is real at PN-G. JBB99, badndn, NDNWarrior and 2 others 4 1 Quote

My favorite play of his tonight was actually an interception he threw. He pursued the kid who caught the ball when no one else could catch him and he lit his butt up, popping him out of bounds with a shoulder to the side. ndn2016 Posted Saturday at 05:45 PM Report Posted Saturday at 05:45 PM Went and watched the freshman and JV this past Thursday, rough counted about 60 players on JV. Didn't count the Freshman team but it looks like PNG has about 140 or so young men participating in the Football program. This keeps all of the players on their toes and working harder to outplay their peers which makes them all better. I've said this before but the deep runs every year pays huge dividends in experience and confidence. For example #2 has probably played in 37 or so varsity games so far and if they go deep this year he'll have played in 40 or more games at the Varsity level. Considering about 10 of those games are in a playoff environment, it's very hard to catch up to a perennial winner because of this. NDNWarrior, prepballfan and badndn 3 Quote
badndn Posted Saturday at 08:01 PM Report Posted Saturday at 08:01 PM The best programs, not just teams, win games early and the young kids get snaps plus those extra weeks of football practice every year is great for the Fr and So. each year. 20 extra weeks for those counting. NDNWarrior 1 Quote

I would almost be certain he will be there. Him and Mason West as freshmen were unstoppable. Just have to get used to a different style RB. I don't mean in a bad way. This kid has speed and is dynamic. He loves to run downfield and make quick cuts, My niece is a cheerleader in the same grade. I got to watch them play. He is a different style RB than we have had in a long time. Trying to think of a past RB that's like him, but cant at the moment. When you watch his freshman season highlights he is cutting away from defenders almost every run. He can also take it outside. He has the speed and agility to take it anywhere on the field. He will be a special player. His brother is a WR on varsity, but is a natural DB which I believe he will be next season if I had to guess. He has played a few plays when we went though the spell were we lost so much of the team to a illness. He would be on O and then on D. He is a hard-hitting DB with speed to stick with his WR. They are an athletic family. The underclassmen are legit at PNG right now across the board in every grade. The size of the lineman O and D are huge. We will be really big in the trenches if not next season then the several after that. Our center who missed the season to a practice injury is 320-330. We also have Baby Manziel back, Ashworth back, and Mason West. A QB conundrum. NDNWarrior, JBB99 and 1970 3 Quote
