OlDawg Posted 15 hours ago Report Posted 15 hours ago Stepp has LP by 17. LP just needs to stay focused, stay TO free, and keep improving on D. Getting some players back from injury helped last week. They could finally move them back from subbing for injuries on O to the D. You could tell the difference. They've been having to play O since injuries in Week 1, and it had really effected the D. I don't know the status of the NG that had to be carted off last week against PAM. If he's out for a period of time, it's another big injury loss for LP that will make them have to shuffle lineups again. LP hasn't had much luck on the injury front this year. But, the staff and players have found a way to keep things together for the most part, and it's actually made them a little more versatile with player positioning. With all the adversity this year, I don't see them having a let down. If they do, RSS has the ability to take advantage. If possible, I see them resting Simon more this game again, and letting Dieudonne have more carries. It seems they're trying to keep Simon as rested as possible for a postseason run. I can see them using the passing game a little more in this contest to keep that part of their attack in sync and effective. It looks like the game will be on HUDL. Quote

They're high school kids, so you never know. But, I think they'll be focused enough. They're on the normal Berneathy trajectory. He schedules tough--win or lose--to find team weaknesses. Then, it usually takes the staff 2 or 3 games after predistrict to kind of set a lineup, and start building from there. This year's been a little tougher because of all the injuries. But, it's starting to come together again. I said this season kind of reminded me of 2024. It still does. But, the O is a lot more versatile. Teams actually have to respect the passing attack this year. So, it’s harder for them to stack the box. Quote
