Longtime rivalry taking place this Friday night.

Massey projections has this one 35-28 Deweyville

I'll be on the sidelines for this one.

I'll be there . I see it as a one possession game either way. West Sabine & Evadale were 1-2 in the preseason predictions but neither team was impressive last week. Colmesneil may be a sleeper for DC.

Huge game for both teams coming in at 0-1 in district. 

You can't turn the ball over 3-4 times a game against most teams and be successful.

 

If Deweyville takes care of the ball they should take care of business Friday Night.

I think Deweyville could be in trouble.... Their secondary is pretty weak and Evadale likes to throw the ball a lot. It is always tough to win in Deweyville so I credit that to WTS "struggling" battling a hard nosed Deweyville team and a little flag happy referee crew. But a W is a W.

The secondary is not a strength by any means for Deweyville but they are not "weak". Defense was not the problem Friday night it was the offense. I believe Deweyville turned the ball over 2-3 times with West Sabine getting a short field out of it. Also add it a fourth and short that WS stuffed. I never said WS struggled I said they were not near as good as I thought they were. The ref's were flag happy because it was warranted. #2 was kicked out late for WS for his second un-sportsman like conduct penalty plus a few more by other players. It's not a good idea to shove players to the ground 2-3 seconds after the whistle has blown and that warrants a flag if seen.

Yea I saw the videos, I'd say the personals on #2 were not warranted, he was tackled to the ground well after the whistle and got up "aggressively" I guess. Then they throw one on him with 29 seconds left because he scored a touchdown and looked at the kid as he crossed the goal line lol

Interesting ....

 

The play where he was tackled "late" was when our smallest linebacker picked him up off the ground he was popped while in the air he then dropped him back down and there feet got tangled up and they both fell to the ground. I think it had more to do with ego being hurt for him to get up that "aggressive"

 

The second flag is thrown 100% of the time when players taunt. #2 then proceeds to argue with the coaches and throw his helmet on the sidelines....that tells a story in itself lol
