if the maxpreps page is right they're 23-11 on the year? I get that it's not as good as they've been in the past, but considering the move to 6A this thread feels like a bit of an overreaction. As for the football team moving up, it's not like they've played a lot of good teams at this point. Crosby seems okay. They lucked into an absolutely terrible district apart from two teams. At best their schedule is on par with last year's. I'd argue it's easier. Also worth asking, since we're comparing programs: would the volleyball team getting a high-end D-1 transfer at whatever you deem to be the most important position on the court to accompany their move to 6A have been beneficial? Because without a doubt that was a major help for the football team in their move.

Your analogy with QB Babin does not apply at all. Babins is a good QB but even without Babin this years team is very likely still 5-0. No close games so far. 

BH has had a slow but steady accumulation of VB talent during the ascension from 4A to 5A to 6A. They dominated as each step up happened. Suddenly the wheels might be falling off in 6A. I could see a small step back, but not this. Still a long way to go but BH VB could realistically miss the playoffs. Adding one "Babin equivalent" VB player would not catapult this team to 1st place. 

I noticed you did not claim it was an overreaction when THS99 posted "BH could be headed for a rough and unfamiliar season". I am just saying the same.
