Fleet Week 2026 - April 19, La Porte, TX

I wasn’t sure where to put this, or who may be interested. But, La Porte will be the first Texas city to host the U.S. Navy Fleet Week.

Details are in the link. Come one and come all. Sylvan Beach is about 300 yards from LPHS and the new Bulldog Stadium.

Can’t wait to go! Been apart of many many Fleet Week. Best one was NYC, Boston was a lot fun lots of community support. SD had a ball

I might make it over there. My older brother did 26 years in the Navy and lives in Richmond. I am sure that he will take part. 
 

I wish the Battleship Texas was back open to the public but it still has a few months before the final berth is ready in Galveston.

If y’all come, stop by the Gold Star Memorial in La Porte (5 Points Park) while you’re here. It’s only a mile or two from Sylvan Beach in old downtown LP. Impressive monument.

La Porte is a very veteran heavy community.

Better 1/2 and I saw Fleet Week in Seattle in the 2010's. Pretty nice set up with the air show and everything over the water in the harbor. I was never assigned a ship. I think my old rate is now an ND. At least I saw that somewhere a few years ago. So, I never participated while serving. I was 'galavanting' other places most of the time anyway. lol
