Just curious on why Silsbee never hosts any playoff game football or basketball like they used to in the pass Woodville Lumberton Kountze and other schools host playoff games but Silsbee doesn’t anymore?

I have answered this question from you many times.

First, teams have to choose the site. Most cases they choose other sites.

Second, Silsbee has to be willing to host.

From what I have been told, the vast majority of the time is that Silsbee ISD is not interested in hosting playoff games for multitude of reasons. One, Silsbee is usually in the playoffs themselves and do not care to host games when they are playing. Also, school admins and workers would have to be willing to work the game. Most don't care to.

Silsbee did host a play in game this year for girls basketball.

Saw on FB that Jacob Brooks is leaving Silsbee this year. Thats the entire staff for the last 15 years gone. Any idea who will come in as  the assistant coach now?

I was told they will most likely promote a current staff member (Turk) to one of the assistant positions and will hire for the other.

Silsbee had to let go 3 coaches (1 boys, 2 girls) due to not being certified. District is cracking down on teaching positions that are occupied by "non certified" teachers. 

They are allowing new hires 2-3 years to get certified. After that, they have to move on.

District is trying to maximize their salary dollars. Trying to be more efficient.
