Where did I say it was better? The crazy is you reading something that wasn’t there. I haven’t had either Beaumont school making the PO’s this year. Nothing has changed yet.

Lufkin gets both Beaumont schools at home. That factors into my thinking as well.

If you want your own rankings, man up & put them out there. These are mine. I’ll probably update them each week.

I thought we had another rb to go with Gray? I dropped them to a B before the 4th qtr. I don’t agree with this alternating QB’s. If you want the ball in your playmakers hands, get them on the field!!! Put Robert’s at RB and let Richards  go back to wr then the 4th qtr happened lol

La Porte could easily start out 0-2. Breaking in some new players on the lines may take a few games.

Outlook from June. I still think it's accurate. Of course, I didn't know at the time the entire O would change. If they come within 2 scores of the Deer at Abshier, I'll feel better about their learning curve.

Well, Lufkin played a veteran 6A Longview team who is currently 6A ranked #15, probably #5 or #6 in the 6A DII catagory. On the other hand, the Panthers had 27 talented sophomores seeing their first ever Varsity game.  Lufkin was the only school in 9-5A DI to play a 6A team.  There is not a team in 9-5A DI who could match the Lobos, I look for them to get close to a title this year.

Lufkin will put things together, Coach Abseck will see to that starting this week.

Agree on Longview. But, Lufkin wouldn’t have beaten PN-G or Ft. Bend Crawford either. Both of them have D1 numbers, and will probably meet in the R3 Finals—barring major injuries. Crawford is like a magnet school for football right now in FBISD. Plus, those young men are seniors now, and have been playing together since the school opened. They have speed to burn. PAM is probably the only team that could match them across the board on speed. La Porte has some who can match. But, not as many as PAM.

Still, as bad as La Porte played, down 2 OL, with TO’s & TWO safeties in the first half, it was a 3 point game in the 4th quarter. It wasn’t the blowout the final score makes it seem.

La Porte will play another very solid opponent this week (6AD1 Deer Park) at their place in our major rivalry. The Dawgs are the only team in district to actually have a predistrict schedule with both opponents being formidable, PO teams in their respective classifications.
