I see it through a totally different lens. I’ve seen far too many wannabe superstars over the years lose games for teams due to selfishness. Those boys don’t need him to win games, in fact the outcome probably would have been more in the Card’s favor. Just my old, professional opinion of course.

So you are saying take those three point shots away and BC wins by more? Sorry, I have to disagree.

No other BC player that night was knocking down any three's. Those shots were much needed to win that game on that night.

I am not saying BC needs #24 to win games for them on a regular basis but on this particular night, his hitting those three's were a major part in the win. That and Silsbee turning the ball over too much in critical times. Silsbee would go on a run and get close to taking a lead and either they would turn it over or #24 would hit a three.

I 100% agree with you about players being selfish. Not conducive to positive outcomes. (unless of course he is an all world player)

Just my old "hasbeen" opinion.

You coached somewhere far, far away a long, long time ago?  I also have coached a little bit and in my experience, there are no individuals.  Basketball is a team game.  Individuals make plays and mistakes, but the only thing that matters is the team winning or losing.  I don’t give a damn who scores or takes the shots as long as we got the job done.  Winning district at a place like Bridge City is an accomplishment that deserves celebration rather than criticism.  Great job to that team, staff, and admin.

For the record, I was not at this game, but I think calling a 15 yr old selfish on a public forum is reckless.
