BD54 Posted January 24 Report Posted January 24 Yates was going to be D2 anyway. Shouldn’t affect Washington being D1 top seed and Yates D2 top seed Quote
Eagles12 Posted January 24 Report Posted January 24 Massive for HJ or HF whoever gets the d2 1 seed in 19 4A Quote

The wins over Mickey Leland, Kashmere and North Forest all stand because the player did not suit up for those games. The loss to Washington does not come into play in regards to the forfeits. Standings leading up to last night's and today's games: 1. Washington (840) 11-0 2. Yates (795) 10-1 3. Worthing (835) 7-4 4. Leland (916) 6-5 4. Furr (1029) 6-5 6. Kashmere (644) 5-6 7. I have not seen it in 35 years of watching Vidor basketball. Yeh, I think most men would be extremely upset if somebody said something crazy to their wife. Im not sure vidor people realize how lucky they are to have such a solid coach. It wasn’t that long ago they were a perennial door mat. AggiesAreWe and Elessar 2 Quote

BTW will be there only problem, they split with Yates this year and made easy work of everyone else in the district. AggiesAreWe 1 Quote

Wheatley does not control their own destiny. They do have to win out outside of the Washington game. Quote
Boogy1000 Posted January 27 Report Posted January 27 I dont know if Silsbee can beat any of the Houston teams this year. I think Silsbee can win a playoff game and thats it. I've seen stranger things happen. Quote

BD54 Posted 2 hours ago Report Posted 2 hours ago Where are those standings posted? Worthing was 7-4 in the original post, now it says they are 9-4 but they lost 2 of their last three and should be 8-6 by what I’m seeing. Quote

These standings were coming into tonight's games. I need to make some corrections: 1. Washington 13-0 2. Yates 12-1 3. Worthing 9-5 4. Furr 8-6 5. Leland 7-6 6. Wheatley 6-8 7. Kashmere 6-8 8. Northside 3-10 9. North Forest 2-11 10. Scarborough 1-12 When it comes to the Houston ISD districts, I put my trust in Jim Hicks and Doug Jones for accurate info. Certainly not Maxpreps. AggiesAreWe Posted 2 hours ago Author Report Posted 2 hours ago From RCSsports: DISTRICT 20-4A IS GOING DOWN TO THE WIRE! Here is the detailed preview of the Play-Off Picture for this HISD 4A District. Only Washington and Yates have clinched a spot. Nobody else is safe, yet. However, there is still hope for the Wheatley Wildcats (6-8) who are the defending Region III champs and state finalist from last season. Here's how they get in... 1. 8 losses is the Magic Number. Meaning, on Feb 18th, any team that has less than eight defeats will be in good shape. 2. Washington and Yates will play this Saturday for 1st place. If Yates wins, there will be no tie breaker because Washington is locked for D1 and Yates is locked for D2 bracket. 3. Worthing (9-5) still have Yates, Mickey Leland and wrap things up with Washington on Feb 18th. Worthing must win at least one of those three showdowns. Otherwise, they could be tied for the final spot. In case of the latter, a tie breaker would have to be played. 4. Furr (8-6) has Mickey Leland and Yates left. 2 losses would produce a 3-way tie for the final spot. Furr won first game over Mickey Leland. 5. Mickey Leland (7-6) has Wheatley, Furr, Worthing and Kashmere left. Any combination of 2 losses could force a 3-way tie for the final spot 6. Kashmere (6-8) must run the table to get in. Remember 8 is the magic number! 7. As for Wheatley (6-8), they must win out, and would likely have to engage in a play-in game. Quote
BD54 Posted 2 hours ago Report Posted 2 hours ago Thanks, I don’t use maxpreps either. Houston ISD actually posted Furr beating Worthing 53-50. If that’s right then Worthing is 8-6. That’s why I’m wondering where it came from. Quote
