thetragichippy Posted Monday at 08:12 PM Report Posted Monday at 08:12 PM Looks like Federal Judges don't run the National Guard..... The 9th U.S. Circuit Court of Appeals on Monday ruled that President This is the hidden content, please Sign In or Sign Up can deploy Oregon National Guard troops into the city of Portland, delivering a significant victory to the Trump administration as it continues its effort to send federal forces into Democratic-led cities despite a string of recent setbacks in other district and appeals courts. tvc184 Posted Monday at 10:06 PM Report Posted Monday at 10:06 PM I wonder how many times federal judges will continue to believe that they are the commander in chief of American armed forces or that the separation of powers in the Constitution requires them to approve of a military action. Quote

What happened to the 9th Circuit? Did Trump tweak it? They used to be against everything Trump. Quote

I'm honestly not sure if they think they are some how anointed with THAT much power, or they know they are overstepping, but use it to just delay Trump and his policies..... Either way, until a Judge is removed or some sort of repercussion/accountability, I don't see it ending. I'd be curious to hear if you think their is a way to hold these left wing judges accountable? Typically it is a three judge panel whereas there might be 15-20 judges. When a case comes up for review at a circuit court, three judges are chosen to hear the case. So out of those judges maybe 4 aren’t flaming socialists. In this case Trump got lucky. Almost certainly they will an en banc review or a situation where a majority of the court is so opposed to the ruling that upon request, the entire 15-20 judges will hear the case and not just the three original. I can say with a fair amount of confidence that in this case the Ninth Circuit would grant en banc. Then the Supreme Court will again have to step in on emergency basis and again slap down the lower court. Quote

Legally, the only possibility is an impeachment and removal but there is no way that would even be attempted unless a federal judge got caught up at a child kidnapping ring or something of that nature thetragichippy 1 Quote
