Probably the same reason some folks are worried about tariffs under Trump but not under Biden, even after he actually increased some of Trump’s tariffs.

Just enjoy the fact that we have a president that is pro America.

Well… with a basic education you’d realize that the inflation was caused by Trump‘s deficit spending before and during COVID, and that Biden helped to calm inflation down-it makes sense.

I guess we’ll just have to wait and see if history repeats itself.

Well, with a basic education, you’d read my post on the last page in response to your great depression comment. Sorry, I forgot to quote you, but you’ll find it. Funny how the lefty liberals seem to talk down to people and insult their education, especially when we are actually talking on the same level. Your TDS is still on magnificent display as are the rest of your clan.

It’s all they’ve got, their policies were an absolute train wreck the last four years and the American people overwhelmingly voted against more.  And they STILL think they know what’s best for the country.

I, for one, hope they stay this course.

EVERYONE is still worried about the debt.

The national debt was $5.5 Trillion in 2000. It is approaching $40 Trillion now through 3 Republican terms and 3 Democrat terms.

You can look like the Scarecrow from the Wizard of Oz and point in both directions.

The nation debt in 2000 was $5.6 Trillion.

The national debt in 2024 was 35.5 Trillion.

So it went up $30 Trillion.

Under Obama it went up $9.4 Trillion.

Under Biden it went up $8.4 Trillion…. In 4 years.

Under Bush’s two terms it went up $5 Trillion.

Under Trump it went up $7.8 Trillion.

So we have $12.8 Trillion under 3 Republican terms and $17.8 under 3 Democrat terms.

He's talking about the deficit, not debt. There is a big difference.

Welp, Mexico gave in, and about 40 minutes ago, Justin Trudeau just committed to 1.3 billion border plan - reinforcing border with new choppers, technology and personnel......

They are also creating a Fentanyl Czar and committing 200 million to fight drug trafficking.....

Says who? Where do you get your info? If Mexico and Canada hadn’t agreed to assist with border security, Trump would have enacted the tariffs. No doubt in my mind. Trump’s tariffs are in effect with China.

You said they were not going to be enacted earlier. Make up your mind

Baddog-  tariffs weren’t actually meant to be enacted. They are a bargaining too

The national debt cannot crease without a deficit.

The numbers that I posted ARE the deficit for those years.

The national debt went from roughly $5 Trillion to roughly $35 Trillion because of those annual deficits that I listed.

Why are you the only one that has to have everything explained to them? Oh yeah, you’re the educated one.

Besides China, have any other tariffs been enacted? Exactly, that was the plan. Trump doesn’t want to apply tariffs, he wants compliance, and it has worked very well. You weird liberals have a way of misinterpreting text. I think it’s intentional since you have nothing else to offer.
