Word about Vidor....

Recommended Posts

You can't forget about Taylor Robichau, Will Fontnow, Larry Williams and VJ Bunner as well... This season looks pretty good for Coach Green...

indeed it does.

if they stick with it like they have(last year) and dont quit, this district title could be up for grabs by the end of the year. Not downgrading LCM, but this squad looks like it will be a bit tougher than people expected.

I too agree that Hester will be up there this year. Vidor gave the Hill all we wanted last year in round 1.

Of all the teams we played last year, I personally gave Vidor my "Gold Star". Very well coached, kids played with great class and no quit, and the Vidor fans were great....all of that on prom night.  ;D Trust me, BH expects Vidor will definately be in the mix come playoff time. 22-4A, tough, competitive district again just as last year. PNG, LCM, Vidor, Nederland...who knows ?

Last year some called the '06 pirates the most talented team in school history.  If that is the case then the '07 pirates may just pass them up.  They look to be loaded.  I think a district title is not just a possibility, but it should be a probability.

Don't forget about Chad Sims returning also.  I know he plays basketball too but alot of you forget he will be coming back to baseball at the end of basketball season. He is a well rounded athlete.

I don't know anything about the situation with the Student Council vs Baseball. But he spent his whole summer with the 16 year old Babe Ruth team and played extremely well. He is an outstanding young man with good character and lots of talent. I think anybody would love to have him as team mate.  :)

Dan Patrick said Phelan only won because Democrats crossed over to vote in the Republican Primary for him. Paxton said Covey’s campaign identified “at least” 1,442 Democrats who voted early in Jefferson County in the primary runoff. However, only 5% of that group had voted in all four previous Democratic primaries. What Phelan’s opponents did not mention is historically Democratic Jefferson County is undergoing a political transition towards the Republican party — the county judge switched his affiliation to the GOP in 2017 — so many residents have a mixed primary voting history.
