I played golf at Tyrrell Park a long time ago and they had Bruce's score card posted on the wall. I believe he shot a 58. He was well liked everywhere he went.

Dang, I just saw this.  He was a great representative, of not just Beaumont, but all of SETX.  I spent many an hour watching him play and pulling for Bruce.  In the article, they called his shot a fade, but as I remember, it bordered on a slice.  But he could whack it.
