Hey BG-Didn't see this one coming, you? Is Katy 'down' this year? I know TW has a stud running back who I believe is a 3 year starter, but I did not see this one coming. Katy has destroyed TW the past 2-3 years. Is TW legit or is Katy having a bad season?

Manvel best team in Region 3 6A, ive said this all year. Woodlands beating Katy is surprising a little bit but last time Katy lost in the regular season TW beat them.

Oh wow. Didn't know that. I figured this was the 1st time TW ever beat them. Good to see a powerhouse fall every once in a while. Shows they are human.

If memory serves The Woodlands beat them by about 40 pts and Katy ended up winning a state championship that same year

Manvel will most likely play D2 and has a good chance to go to the title game again but I would still take my chances on Cedar Hill repeating. They're even more loaded than Manvel and don't have to play Katy before the title game. They would have to play Guyer who is also a serious contender though. I still want to see what Manvel does in district with their two rivalry games against Dawson and Pearland.

Loss could be a blessing in disquise for Katy...they dont have to wait until the playoffs to figure out their weakness. The last two time the lost to the Woodlands they went to State....winning in 08 after losing 47-0 to the woodlands, losing to Abilene in the 09 State game after losing 31-27 to the Woodlands early in the year.....

Gary Joseph is one of the best coaches in the state and I agree I wouldn't want Katy this week. Katy will be fine.
