Tarkington

Recommended Posts

From the little that I know about Tarkington's situation, graduating those seniors might not be altogether bad due to the fact that they are graduating some of the old culture. It's not the kids' fault, but that old mindset is hard to change.

Hunter Johnson is one of the best QB's in SE Texas. What sucks is he has zero help on his team, as far as all-district type help. I would hate to know my team has no shot at the playoffs. 3 wins may be the result this year also. The culture for winning football is just not there, that does not change over night. Now baseball in Tarkington, yeah their good. Good luck Longhorns.

How many times has the Head Football Coach AD job changed hands since the early to mid eighties? My husband went there. (But graduated from Clear Creek.) He said the football team always sucked. (Which has nothing to do with the kids)

Tarkington's districts are always tough with Cleveland, Coldspring, and Splendora.

There is also another team in the district that stomps Splendora and Cleveland.

Zero help? The tall WR will be one of the best in the area.
I will look for him on the all-district team, good luck to him. I watched Hunter play, yes he had very little help, besides the LaFrance kid.

Head coach is starting his fifth year and things are moving is the right direction. They will surprise some people this year a lot of young talent, you don't have to believe me just watch. Very talented incoming junior and sophomore classes they will compete.

Man it would be awesome to see Hunter Johnson move to Cleveland, Dayton, Huffman or Hull-Daisetta.  :o 8) Kid would blow up! He would win some games and get more letters. He is a top talent.

Tarkington will win 2 games...max.    Baseball good...LOL!!!!!!

They are not going to be worse. The incoming Jrs are a good group of players. They have won games every year. They will have a winning season this year, next or both. I am not a Tarkington fan, but I am realistic based on what I have seen. The JRs expect to win.

Even though CS is gonna stomp the Horns again, I do look for Tarkington to win 4 to 5 games.
Name the teams they will beat. I see maybe 3 wins. Hardin and Liberty will be a toss up.
Huntington, HJ, Hardin, Sam Houston, Cleveland, Shepherd, Liberty, and Splendora are all in play. CS and Huffman are the only games where they have no chance.

89falcon didn't you say that about Shepherd last year? I think they beat Huffman!!!

Tarkington is going to be much improved and the only team in our district that is a for sure bet is Coldspring!!!!! I see the district being a pretty tight race for more than a few teams.

Yes, they beat Huffman's freshman 3rd string QB.

I guess that is your side of the story, tell it the way you want to. My point is that no team in that district other than Coldspring is going to be that much better than the next. But this year Coldspring is not that "unbeatable" as they have been. Huffman is always a good team and Cleveland is up and down. But the "Bottom Teams" are not that far behind.

Please. ::)

Huffman had a Sr. QB who led a very pass heavy offense,  he got hurt. They had to put in a Fr. 3rd string QB who had no experience, because the backup QB who was also a WR was injured a couple of weeks earlier.  If Townley played the gave Huffman would've won. The game didn't matter though,  Huffman still went to the playoffs and Shepherd didn't.

    • Where were the 8 Omaha teams in D1's preseason top 25 poll... 2. Florida 8. A&M 9. Tennessee 13. N.C.State 14. Virginia 15. North Carolina Kentucky - unranked Florida State - unranked
    • That TDS is really flaring. Now do Biden. You have way, way, way more material. And keep that bitter "you are better than me" jealousy tone you have with Trump. You know Biden, the one you want everyone to vote for instead of Trump. Somehow you didn't acknowledge my pleas for you to die a painful death. I was quite certain that is how you would have interpreted my previous post. I guess when your focus is Trump 24/7, nothing else matters.
    • I have a better one. The point that nobody wants to acknowledge is that Dems are crossing over to vote Trump in the primaries and in the general so he will win the presidency. That way Trump will get the blame when the Dems implement their sinister plan to deport all of the minorities in the country. They have already laid the groundwork...convincing everyone that Trump and Republicans are racist (without providing any proof). Then it will be just a matter of time to execute their White supremacy plan of the great purge of the dirty, unwashed, heathen, non-Whites that roam freely in this country. I think my theory is more viable than your theory. Maybe we can get some other ridiculous scenarios so we can start a poll.
    • But that’s what Trump’s fanboys don’t understand.  When he talked about sexually assaulting women, y’all laughed it off as “locker room talk.”  When it was proven that he raped E. Jean Carroll, you cried that it was all an injustice… a lie. Even though he’d already confessed to doing the same thing to other women.  John McCain has suffered and sacrificed more for his country than practically anybody, except possible gold star families… and Trump called him a loser or something to that effect. “Oh, it was a joke that no one was supposed to take seriously.” But when Trump, after disrespecting the sacrifices of one of our most valiant, y’all are like “just because Trump didn’t go to Omaha Beach doesn’t mean he isn’t pro military!” Really? All you have to do is listen to what he said about McCain’s service. Not McCain as an opponent, not McCain’s political views… about the fact that the man was tortured, probably raped, and who knows what all else for over five years for swearing an oath and putting on the uniform.  But all of y’all supposedly “pro military” people just laughed along with Trump. “Good one, Sir! Maverick my new-hind! Filthy Rino!”  I don’t understand how the same people (y’all) who probably always say “thank you for your service” to any veteran still support a guy who craps on the ones who suffered the most on our behalf.  It’s baffling.
