The game turned on a kickoff recovered in the endzone. I say Ozen 21-17
It's funny you mention that, I can't help but think about that same play everytime last year's game is mentioned. SMD1H I mean SMH :o
WB won 24-7 and you think Ozen out played them.  Must have been a Big A$$ 24 point fumble in the end zone. I will say the teams should be more evenly matched this year and it depends on who has the most heart.
Why not this year?  Sheesh!
Big Joe is 1st class --I am so glad that my son got to play for him.  Class act and then a great coach.  He is not easy on the kids but they will always remember him.  I wish Central well and they now have a new fan.
 15. Vopy and paste this Link for  a good read.  Several of us thought the "Rant" was a good PR recruiting move for the Cards.  I still believe this.  Go Big Red [Hidden Content] [Hidden Content]
 16.
I agree. And don't discount the chance for the relief or JV pitcher to get in some innings against quality bats. The kid and the coach can see how they measure up and what to work on.
From the perspective of a GFPSB coach -sometimes seeing sub-standard pitching at a level they are not ready to perform can also have a negative impact on batters because of timing.  The pros and cons are hard to measure.  Perhaps the best results  from a tournament close to district games IMO is for the fielders to get some reps in addition to some base running opportunities in addition to fine-tuning some of the strategic aspects of the game in situational cases.
 17. Ozen--the truth shall set you free.  BH fans--it is gonna take a while for many to to believe what you say.  Just sayin  ;)

 19.

Soulja, don't bother  ;). He's a troll. True 'people' of Trinity that took the time to speak TO the man, instead of speak ABOUT him, knew where he stood as well as the truth.  Again, zero acusations or infractions by the UIL.  How come trolls think that if THEY type it it makes it TRUE. Lol.              The 'trolls' of trinity,.......well you see the pointless, timeless readeric this ONE spews. Home today........  Childhood bedroom, Mama's basement
Seems like when someone comes along with facts which disagree with your little clique they must be a troll. Ridiculous. Zero infractions or accusations? I know you can type into Google or else you wouldn't be online, so since you are too lazy or too biased to do so, here's a few tidbits for you:
Central Oklahoma president Roger W. Webb has announced that the university's football coach Chuck Langston, has been fired after five years at the helm of the program, amid NCAA investigation. "This was an extremely difficult decision for me because I have enjoyed my relationship with Chuck Langston," Webb said. "However, for the future of the program, I believe a change must be made." The football program faces several NCAA rules violations, which all occurred during Langston's tenure at UCO. On Nov. 2 UCO agreed with several rules violations that the NCAA had found during their year long investigation into the football program. UCO came to the conclusion that they had failed to exercise institutional control and monitoring in the administration of its own football program, which are considered major NCAA rules violations.
UCO itself agreed that there were violations, and stated so [Hidden Content]
Chuck Langston's short tenure as football coach at the University of Central Oklahoma has been marked by cheating of every conceivable sort. The NCAA finally got wind of it, and punishment has now been handed down: Two weeks with no working. At full salary. There is one thing he'll be required to do. "He will be required to study NCAA rules and regulations," says a campus spokesman. Local Oklahoma news outlets assure their readers that despite this glitch the team's pumped. Ready to roll. And after all it's amazing how quickly a serious punishment can clear things up. "I am extremely proud of all of our coaches and athletic programs," says the university's president. "And I have every confidence that the football program is now on the right track." Coach Langston will be back to running things before you know it; and, having refreshed his knowledge of the rules and regulations, he'll direct a nice clean program from here on in.
University Diaries, 30 Aug 2007 [Hidden Content] Speaking of players, Ryan O'Hara, who played under Langston as QB at UCO:
Ryan O’Hara:  Chuck Langston (U. Central Oklahoma) was not much of an influence.  He was fired my senior year for NCAA violations.  Mike Stoops at U. Arizona was a great deal of help because I learned a lot about defenses from him.
] While the guy may well be likable, and talk a pretty fair "good-ole-boy talk", unfortunately that doesn't mean much when you get down to the b&w, real, and on paper figures. His last 3 seasons with UCO resulted in less than 6 wins per year.
his final three teams failed to win more than five games, going 3-7, 5-6 and 4-6.
[Hidden Content] His record at Groveton was the same - less than 5 wins per year, followed by his time here in Trinity, where he again had less than 5 wins per year. So "get his career back on track"?? He hasn't had it on track in more than 8 years now! The last time the man won more than 6 games in season was back in 2004! EIGHT YEARS without more than 6 wins per season. Freshman players have graduated with doctorates since the last time this guy won more than 6 games in a season. Speaking of lack of manners, yes there was rudeness - when the first thing said was "why should we believe you folks--ya'll probably dont even have a Wallmart. (sic)" that is rudeness, ignorance, and trolling in itself. Lovely example of the ignorant trolling, with even a bit of racism thrown in:
I take it you dont have Chinese restaurants in Trinity also.  Wow--must take a long time to order take out. So Sorry we not have Chinese food here.  ::)
Your mother must be so so proud! Don't like the facts and figures? Great, must be wonderful inside your unrealistic thoughts. Want to get rude about it? Kiss off. There is one good thing about his going to Lamar - it makes for great odds on what college team will finish the season with less than 6 wins, so if you have some money to lay down that would be a good bet. Unfortunately I don't think the bookmakers will be taking bets on that one, since they wouldn't want to lose their money.
You got me --I am busted.  My mother is 91 years old and she is happy that i take her to church and the grocery store amoung other things.  She had me when she was in her thirties.  Your perception along with your insight and intelligence amazes me.  Why are you so angry with Langston, he is no longer a part of your life?  I saw him when he played here in Beaumont and his work ethic as a student athelete was quite impressive.  Forgive him and let it go.  Seriously - BTW--please dont tell me to kiss off it ...it ... it... lacks the touch of class I expect from my elders.

 23.

Ok your a newbie so we can give you some benefit of the doubt.  But why should we believe you folks--ya'll probably dont even have a Wallmart.  So your economy relies totally on imports and then you run them off.
We do not have a Walmart, and never will. We would not let them come into the town and run our local businesses out of business, though they have tried many times to move into Trinity. So we therefore do not rely on imports like someone who shops at Walmart does - after all Walmart goods come from China. We have our own local businesses to support, and in the end that supports local community and the USA quite a bit more than those idiots who shop at Walmart and ship all their $$ to China like good little sheeple. Of course that isn't the topic at hand is it? Newbie? I've probably got kids older than you, with better manners to boot. Why believe us? Let's see...I dunno...we have firsthand experience of this guy working for our school system...unlike you
I take it you dont have Chinese restaurants in Trinity also.  Wow--must take a long time to order take out. So Sorry we not have Chinese food here.  ::)
 24. I have never seen two communities that can dish out and equally take so much abuse. I congratulate both communities and agree that you are deserving of your own thread.  May the Hill be Real and let the Broncos keep it fertile.  ;D ;D
