[/quote] I wasn't making it about him,   just commenting to all the people saying he should be written up.  Doc surely won't have a problem with it.  But the thing is so many people have been so quick to judge.  Listen to the interview on 'espn, it clears alot of things.  It just hit home because there were some strong opinions against Yates and turns out the same exact thing was sitting in their own back yard.  Kind of like that saying " sweep around your own front door before you try to sweep around mine!"  Not all of you are hypocrites, but some of them like to criticize other people.

[/quote] Well I was there and it was actually Nw that held the ball the whole 3 quater.  They then did what you say running teams can't do and that's run a delay game for six minutes.  If you have ever seen them play, they do it quite often.  They can run and then put on the brakes, did it all the way through district and most of the 4th quater against Kountze last year.  They also kept Silsbee and HJ under 50 does that say anything.

U telling me an undisciplined team like NW goes to State two years in a row and still gets no credit.  You say they have trouble with ball control teams and played in the state finals?  Who did they beat last year? Kountze is the experienced team?  I think they are 0-4 vs NW.  So NW doesn't have to beat Kountze, Kountze has to beat NW.  I understand you are a little prejudiced against NW since you love the triangle but dang what do they have to do?  They do a little ole school thing called man to man defense, seems to give teams problems.  Handles the press well, and can also press and run.  Pretty good to be so undisciplined.

Well if it wasn't for the fact that NW had to try to play all those JV kids they brought it wouldn't have been a problem. But West Hardin Decided not to play NW subvarsity teams at the last minute and went down the road to HULL instead. I guess you never saw all of those cheap shots that the WH kids threw play after play, and I guess that shows great discipline I guess. How many ejections did you have? As for you EC, who cares what you think. You are still sore from basketball. Maybe one day EC will get over that hump and make it to Austin. Takes discipline todo that.

Because this year hasnt started. And I was wondering what people thought.

So how many of us with our highly touted college diplomas are knocking down a couple of $100,00 a year? College sports is on of the biggest rip offs off all time. How much money is generated off these kids back? And they don't get enough money to buy a pair of tennis shoes. Thats why there will never be a playoff system in football, too much money lost. The purpose of an education is to have a better life. His dad sounds like a smart man, the kind who would invest the money wisely. I say go and get better. He could get hurt but that could happen in college also, atleast he'll have a big money to back him up.

I never said it was unmanly to stall. Talk to NW folks about the manly comments/chants. All the NW posters said NW dominated the game the first half which is why they stalled. Stall if you want but don't say you dominated the game. That was my point! Sabine let them hold the ball mainly because it shortened the game for us and with our best player on a bad ankle made sense to let them hold the ball the whole quarter. Fourth quarter Sabine manned up and held NW to one FG. They played great defense too holding us to 7 points. Bottomline is it was a great game that could have gone either way! I really would have loved to see the mad folks from NW if they don't get that last call. I expect there would have been fist fights all throught the stands on their side!! Time for you to log off buddy. You have no team left playing so stop clogging up the boards. You lost.

Well you obviously don't know much. Why would you let a team sit in a zone. NW didn't stall, Sabine was losing and refused to come out and get them. Think about that icky, NW was WINNING. The pressure is on Sabine to catch up, you have to score the most points to win remember? Now follow me. You usually have to come out of the zone when you are losing because a jump shot is a lower percentage shot than a lay up. So if you were winning, which would you prefer your team to shoot, lay ups or jumpers? Stay with me its hard to shoot lay ups against a zone, so what do you do? MAKE THEM PLAY MAN, IF THEY DONT COME OUT YOU WIN THE BALL GAME. I AM NOT A COACH BUT THATS NOT HARD TO FIGURE.

Sabinebball, how many turnovers did you have the first half? How many times did NW penetrate that weak zone? Bottom line is that you guys are slow and your coach knew that you could not guard NW man to man. You were losing!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! No depth, so your coach wanted to try to hang til the 4th. How many points did those great shooters have? The mighty little big man kirk hit how many. You struggled to get a shot the entire game. You have never seen man defense that long and intense, 30 is the only kid that showed up. #1 hit his only points of the game with that lucky 3. Refs gave you 3 possesions in the last minute. It was all started by a bogus charge call. Dont forget the foul on the rebound before that three, they mauled the nw player. Then you get a 10 second call and you're not even running a real press. They take 3 straight balls from New Waverly and unless you are blind and can't see that kid grab #12 arm on the put back, you're kidding yourself. Look at how many teams NW beat that played in the QTRS from 5a on down. Trust me. Yall were not that good!!!!!!!! FYI.......3 of 4 losses came from deep SETX , athletes that can play down here. And when you are winning its ok to work the clock. If you wanted a game you should have came out of the zone. If you won't to boo someone boo your coach for not thinking his kids were not good enough to play a half of man defense!!!!!!!!!

O yeah, Stalling is when someone is playing man to man and you choose not to shoot or work the clock. If the other team is losing and won't come out then thats on them. Wonder why Sabine wouldn't come out? Any thoughts?

First of all Let's make it clear that NW was all over Sabine. Lead the game from the start. Up by as much as 8 in the first. Sabine strugggled to find shots and turned the ball over atleast 10 times the first half. New Waverly pentrated their zone easily. They spread the ball out with two minutes left in the half and penetrated easily. Now here is the big Question? Why let an inferior team hang around by playing a zone? Thats all they have ever done, they have no bench so why let their only five guys rest? I think it was a great move. They chose to stay back all the had to do was come out and the game would have been on!!!!! They actually called NW cowards. Seems to me like the coward sat in a zone down by three or maybe he knew he didn't stand a chance if he tried to play man to man. Now on to the fourth. NW went back and fourth got to the rim but didn't convert. Still up four with one minute left things went crazy. First NW gets a charge called, Sabine misses and NW rebounds Sabine obviously has to foul and a kid is draped on the rebounder but their is no call, ball goes out of bound to Sabine. They finally get a look and hit a 3 and cut it to one. Next they get a 10 sec call!!!!!!!!!!!! They score and go up 1. NW goes the floor misses and gets the rebound!!! 12 is murdered on the put back and ices two. NW doesn't even allow them to get a shot off. NW held Sabine to 19 pts first half. Sabine clearly couldn't run with them so they sat back and waited. The boys tried to come up and the coach sent them back!!!! Sabine was only 5 deep and wasn't use to running, evident by the losses they took when they came to SETX. Thing is they got beat at their own game, " CONTROL BASKETBALL." SabineBBALL please!!! After playing Kountze, Hudson, Cleveland, Brenham, Galveston Ball, Leggett, Anahuac, Diboll etc What in the He@@ could Sabine bring to the table the DOGS hadn't seen!!!!! You should have seen those great shooters trying to create a shot. They were so out of sync!!! Sabine ball say whatever you want to make yourself feel better, but all that bragging you do on these sites about how much ball your kids played over the summer, bottom line you guys really weren't that good. If NW stays on you, you guys run out of gas any way!!!

;D We'll get 'em in there Coop. I don't know if they're duplicating the ones from the old gym or bringing them over. Well said KHS. I think Coach G might have said a few words with the guy himself. And his players may have just followed suit. But If you know "G" and have watched our Dogs, one thing they are not is undisciplined. He runs a very tight ship from HS to the JH. But he is very aggressive and as you can see his boys follow close behind.. It was a great game though, I thought your boys did a heck of a job. That 25 can flat out play. Sad part is we'll probably have to do this again next year, that should be a regional match-up!! How many starters you guys have back?

You call those boys UNDISCIPLINED when some beligerent, drunk Kountze fan follows them to the locker room and then is standing over their huddle talking noise constantly. You must have been acting stupid with him because I know if you saw NW boys turned around, you heard him constantly harassing them. You obviously condone that type behavior. You had to find something though. Just give the dogs credit. Both teams played hard and looked disciplined to me.

I can assure you the team is focused on Hearne. I can't comment on another game if my team is not playing in it? Speed kills in football but in basketball you can have all the speed in the world but still have to be able to put the ball in the basket. Kountze has a lot of tradition and won't been an easy out! IMO (if that is still allowed on here) lol BTW Sabine has played in district in 3A with the likes of Gilmer every year for a long time. Last 2 years we split with them and they have incredible "speed" every year. You are definitely right sabine u do have to put in in the hole. Where is the game with Hearne?

OMG!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I know someone from West Hardin isn't going to speak about fans! You can't be serious if you were directed out a different door its usually because of something racially charged that spewed from your fan section. Thats one of the worst cases of the pot calling the kettle black I have ever heard.

Sabine I think you should be worried about Hearne while you are talking about somebody getting it taken to them!!!!!!! Speed kills.
