  2. Finally the game is here! Hope to see an Eagle victory! It should be a good one! Hope to see an update toinight. I got a real game to go to or I would attend. 4 year old tee ball starts tonight, My son has to go show these toddlers how to play ball
  3. WOW!!! I said on another post that there was no way BC would win by a large margin. Boy was I wrong 8) I'm officially a Card Believer!!
  4. Bolstered by the relief pitching of Chase Barrera, Barbers Hill defeated Splendora 10-6 Friday night in a District 23-3A contest. Barrera came on in relief of starter Bailey Glandt to pitch 5 1/3 innings to get the win. Barrera gave up one run on one hit, no walks and struck out 13. Offensively, BH made Splendora pay for the gifts the Eagles received. The Wildcats were ahead 5-2 with 2 outs in the bottom of the second when the second baseman committed an error. Colby Townley then sent a 2-2 pitch over the centerfield wall to cut the deficit to one. Michael Padgett then followed with a game tying homerun to left center. In the fourth, Barbers Hill plated 5 runs to take the lead for good. Kyle McDonald started the rally via a 3-base error. After a walk to Barrera, a wild pitch scored McDonald. A couple of more walks and another wild pitch accounted for the second BH run of the inning. With 2 runners on base, Cameron Campbell doubled to right scoring Townley and Padgett. Eventually, courtsey runner Tony Carmona would score the fifth run of the inning on a wild pitch. Barbers Hill goes to 2-0 in district and 15-1 for the season. BH will travel to Huffman on Monday, host Tarkington on Tuesday and visit Liberty on Friday. All games start at 7:00.

  8. Game Day!!!! This is a big one for district giving one of these teams the edge for district! However both of these teams better keep their guard up because Cleveland or Liberty could spoil it for someone 8) Any updateds from the Huffman folks about Bagley? For BH someone has posted that Glandt may pitch for the Eagles, is that true? I thought he dislocated his shoulder.
  9. You are correct the BH JV team is very good , but lost to a much better Silsbee squad! Silsbee gets my vote
  10. People better keep and eye on Clevleand they took BC to the woodshed and held a good BH team to 4 runs. Clevleand could play the spoiler 8)
  11. This will be a good one!! BH and Huffman are playing well, but I think BH will have the edge. I'd say BH 4 Huffman 2.
  12. I'm not for sure it could be Bailey Glandt ,but they may pitch the Soph Ross Hales.

  16. Senior Octavio Carmona pitched one of his best games of the year to lead Barbers Hill to a 4-0 victory over host Silsbee. BH is now 13-1 for the year and will start district play at home against Cleveland. The game is scheduled for Friday night at 7 p.m. Carmona pitched a complete game. He struck out 7, no walks (or hit batters) and gave up 3 hits. Barbers Hill banged out 11 hits on the night in scoring their 4 runs. Leading hitters for the Eagles were: Michael Padgett 2-4 with a triple, Chase Barrera 2-4 with a double and an RBI, Derek Hulsey 2-3 with an RBI, Cameron Campbell 1-2 with a double and Kyle McDonald 2-3. Subvarsity Games BH Sophs 10 Silsbee 6 Silsbee JV 7 BH JV 3 (Latest update-Game not complete as if this posting)

  18. BH bounces back after a tough lose. BH 5 - Silsbee 2
  19. Congrats Stangs, looks like the Mustangs are doing better once the Basket Ball team came back. BH is stll a good team. It's baseball folks you never know what is going to happen, Look at what Cleveland did to #1 BC . Looks like the Mustangs got there points on one swing of the bat And BH couldn't come back. This lose may be what the Eagles needed.
