First off I'm excited about this district! Glad BH will be apart of it! There should be some awesome games this year. BH has a strong class coming through this year with help from the underclassman which are also good. If I had to pick today this is what I think. 1. Crosby (They will reload with talent they have) 2. PNG (Losing their stud play caller and play maker. only reason I put them above BH is because BH has never beat the Indians) 3. BH (A lot of their skill players return) 4. Nederland ( Not sure about what Ned returns , but BH hasn't lost to the dawgs) 5. Dayton (They will be improved this year, but not sure by how much) 6. Vidor ( I think Vidor will play spoiler for someone..hope it isn't us 7. Baytown Lee ( No comment) 8. Santa Fe ( I think they will be overwhelmed by this district)

KPFAN don't forget the only reason you are even in the conversation is due to knocking out the BH QB for your win over BH. If that didn't happen no way KWP gets the win over BH. Now that's clear on to the Porter game IMO BH blows Porter out. BH now has the team together that I wish they could have started with. Starting RB (Long) has been back 3 games and really opening up the BH O! BH starting QB (Cauthen) that was knocked out during the KWP game is back and if nothing else gives us a back up in case the current #1(Holland) needs help. If they can get Cauthen some snaps in this game and get Holland back out at receiver with Long toting the rock this Eagle team could peak going into a rematch with PNG! I know Cauthen would love to get another shot at the Indians after beginning last years game with 3 picks then battling back to lose by 5 with a last second sack to end the BH drive. I think this BH team is on a mission now and ready to prove something. Did I mention the Defense is playing like its possessed now?

Buzz the reason why you didn't see a RB is because they were both on the sidelines in plain clothes We did with what we had and didn't do to shabby. I knew all of those dropped balls would come back to haunt us and it did. We didn't have the RB's for Friendswood either, but FW didn't have Williams or a versatile QB like Crosby.

Oh ha the old round ball joke... Just be happy ya won tonight. I bet you wouldn't even been on if you didn't. if so it would have sound something like...well we got 2 TD's called back and the refs at BH won the game for them and << insert drama here>> peace I'm out

I haven't seen the move in RB , so I'm not sure about him, but Spencer Long will be a huge lift to the team. He will give us the balance that we need to get better. He is definitely no Williams, but still a good power down hill running kid that can open up the pass. Anyway good game on to the next game district is still a tough road to plow.. Hope we were are both in round 2 of the playoffs this year.

Call me after round 2 with no excuses . I'll be impressed

It's early both teams have a lot of time to improve. The BH receivers struggled tonight, but they will get better

LoL No Excuses Cougtalk, just a fact we will be better when our backs are healthy. To much pressure on Cauthern to throw 400 yards a game to compete. Once he has someone to hand the rock too this will free up a lot for us. Do you think we will be worse when are RB's return?

Congrats Crosby what a great game that was or at least until we fell apart at the end :(. Anyway the Eagles looked good tonight just dropped to many passes when we needed them. Cauthern (SP) was gift wrapping some of those endzone passes! I haven't read this thread, but I hope Crosby isn't saying that they got TD's called back, there is a rule that you cannot hold which is why 11 broke free twice for TD's on the same exact play. And for BH will one of the coaches please buy the bare handed receiver a pair of gloves! I know some don't like wearing them , but at least when you drop a pass we don't have to wonder "hmmm I wonder if he would have caught that with gloves" sorry not picking on the kid, that just has always irked me.

Rooting for Dayton in this one (OMG I just said that), but Splendora won last year in Bronco land with the same RB. We will see if Nederland is just an improved team from last year or if the Bronco's are really that down. One good thing is that Splendora shouldn't surprise the Bronco's this year and they wont be overlooked by Dayton either. Good luck Bronco's

Yeah , Friendswood wasn't that good, but its hard to tell from the 1st game if they were bad or if we were just that good . Heck FW went 3 rounds last year in 6A, so I have to think they are decent. Also I wasn't aware of another RB that was out. I know Spencer is out and he will bring a ton to the team once he returns. until then the young RB's are going to have to step up, so Cauthern (SP) doesn't have to throw 400 yards a game LOL.

TradenUp must have been closer to the field that I, because I saw BH take over in the second half of the game. If their Conditioning was poor what does that say for Friendswood

I haven't seen Crosby this year, but they will have more team speed that Friendswood. During the FW game I though BH still looked a little slow on D and if Williams gets loose like someone posted it will be 6. BH's secondary however did well against some big FW receivers that were running good routes, so I feel better about not giving up the big play. BH's Offensive line against FW was really doing well giving the BH QB a lot of time to find the open receivers. One thing I have learned though is Crosby does not lay down for BH! They do for Dayton & Porter LOL, but not BH. I think the key to this game is to get on top quick and make Crosby catch up! If BH does what Jasper did and give them short field gifts then Crosby will run off with the game. IMO Crosby plays with a lot of emotion which is good, but if they are down it is bad (For Crosby Anyway). BH is fully capable of winning this game, but until they beat Crosby they cannot be the favorites. BH by 2 points

Pride , I gave up on that years ago trying to explain that you don't need DIV 1 recruits on your team to be successful. Don't get me wrong they are nice to have, but there are a lot of teams that have these so called athletes that cannot succeed because of there coaching. The kids at BH are very disciplined and have great community support..you get a good coach and things start clicking. Yall are well aware of that and we are just beginning to learn the value of what a good coach can bring to a team.

Still a long season ahead ,but this game could end up deciding the Div II, 1 and 2 seed going into the playoffs. Were you at 14.2 don't quite yapping because the Jasper fans are on ya.

Well lets get this one started. I'm sure there will be a lot of talk on this one and from week one's results this game just got more interesting. I think Crosby under played in week one and Jasper showed they were ready. BH played a tight game with Friendswood through the 1st half then pulled away proving they are going to be a team to reckon with in 21-5A! From an out siders view point they might just say BH is going to beat Crosby just from the week one results, but we all know this will be a different game. Friendswood had little time to prepare for BH and might have underestimated the Eagles which bit them in the butt (Similar to Crosby/Jasper). This should be a great game and of course I think my Eagles can win this one at home, but they cant give Crosby the short field and have to contain their speed. I'll save my predicted score for later in the week.
