  1. It's finally making the historical turn to the eastern seaboard.
  2. .... and had a very large crowd of several thousand people.
  3. I completely disagree with Moody's call on this.... but it is his call to make. Coaching should not be done by committee or "the entire community". He was wrong in my opinion but it is his right to make that call.
  4. I am sure that Neumann would like the run first too but you have got to have a good back that can carry the load and line that can make the holes. I haven't seen that in the last two years.
  5. I know that everyone knows this.... but just in case.... even with the store or station closed, you can often get gasoline. If you have a credit card, check cashing card, etc., you can get gas out of the pumps (assuming your card has available credit) by using the card reader on most pumps. As long as there is power to the station and gasoline in the tanks, you can usually fuel up.
  6. Can you make "MORE OF A THREAT" to "ONLY A THREAT" to the east coast? But I know what you are saying. If I was a betting man, I would take the odds of our season being over... but there is always the chance...........
  7. It is according to who "we" is. Each city sets its own rules during an emergency or evacuation type situation. Some cities have active curfews that can be enforced by criminal law and other cities have not put a curfew in place.
  8. That is what I thought three years ago when Rita landed almost in October.
  9. The only trouble coming back is fighting the crowd getting back in.
  10. If there is a mandatory evacuation on Sunday morning, how are they going to hold any schools in Jefferson County on Monday?
  11. LOL....if you call them being as much as 500 miles apart as in agreement. Even the five or so that are grouped, have about a 200 mile spread. I guess for them, that is close. Give it a couple of hours and they will all change. ;D
  12. I hope Nederland can keep it close enough for a field goal to be in play.
  13. I wonder if they will fly the big Air Force transports in again?? No.
  14. That's what I had in mind.
  15. Tell us how you really feel. : I smell a troll. Yeah, not hard to smell that one. I am just wondering it is a WO-S student or grad.... or maybe a Lumberton fan trying to stir it up a bit. ;D
  16. About 6:00AM Monday at the latest. That would be pushing it and I don't think we will wait that long. The evacuation needs to be complete before the storm even starts making landfall and Monday is right at the edge of the safe envelope.
  17. Not to worry unless they are about to vacation in Pensacola.
  18. Forget the models, I have already made the call.
  19. Wow... the computer models have all changed from the time I went to bed and the time I woke up. Go figure. I am guessing Alabama or the panhandle of Florida. Landfall will be no farther west than New Orleans.... in my totally bias and unscientific guesstimate. Pensacola had better start boarding up those windows.
  20. We can what if this thing until it makes landfall. Anything more than about 48 hours out is a guess based on conditions "at that moment". The odds of making an accurate forcast of landfall 7 days out are slim to none. Due to that, I am encouraged that the thing looks to be heading our way. ;D
  21. I think that is a ton of talent for any size high school for being there all at one time.
  22. Not me. I think they have a chance at being the surprise team of the year.
  23. I think Vidor may be the Lumberton of last year. They have a lot of experience coming back from a decent team a year ago. Just like Lumberton in '06, they lost a lot of games but played good at times and then had most of the team returning for last season. Vidor has a chance to do the same thing this year.
