West Orange-Stark vs Carthage - State Final
AverageJoe86 replied to monknuk68's topic in High School Football
Unfortunately...I think this one will get out of hand. Carthage is absolutely loaded and their defense matches up well with the WOS offensive attack IMO. Time will tell...but give me the Bulldogs by 21+ -
Got it. I meant the specific number. I'm really curious where the 4A-5A cutoff will be. My guess is somewhere between 1290 and 1310
-
What does he have for 4A D1?
-
Wonder if this means they'll be releasing cutoff numbers in the next few days
-
Yeah, it seemed to be a pretty universal belief that the numbers will drop. Padilla is usually pretty spot on with his projections though so if he says it's going up then I'd believe him until the numbers actually come out.
-
Anyone have the Padilla numbers for all classifications? Curious if the actual numbers will get released this Friday?
-
@BBfan061 @bullets13 time will tell... But after watching both teams I don't really think it'll be close. Look at what Kilgore did to Lindale...Crawford beat a Lindale team that was without their best two players on offense.
-
LCM did quit. BC did not...however Kilgore beat them handily and could have scored more. Great season for BC. Unfortunately, no one in R3 is on the level of Kilgore. They'll beat Crawford by 21 next week and then they'll cruise into the State Championship again.
-
Kilgore by 28+ in my opinion. Rooting for BC to represent SETX well, but Kilgore is on a different planet from any team that BC has played. Kilgore demolished LCM. Kilgore demolished Lindale...and Lindale smoked Huffman. Could be apples to oranges...but I think Kilgore wins fairly easily.

Bridge City (35) Navasota (27)---FINAL

Congrats BC! Good luck against Kilgore next week! -
I agree completely with your last paragraph. The football team at BC has earned my respect and I want those kids to have success. On the flip side, the arrogance is really annoying. Chip on you shouler...I get it...however I've been nothing but supportive of all of 10-4A. Tried to get threads going and create excitement. You guys are no fun to talk to though. Glad you're having success. Let's see if BC can maintain the success over a sustained period of time in the future...I hope they can because I love SETX football. I understand the LCM thing has you guys fired up but my goodness show some humility. If you guys beat Kilgore in R3 I'll be among the first to congratulate you guys. My prediction is Kilgore by as many as they want...assuming you guys get by Navasota (Which I am rooting for!)
-
Good luck this week though. Would love to see how you guys fare against the Bulldogs.
-
Honestly, I'm new here. Family moved to the Sour Lake area in July. I want to root for all of 10-4A in the playoffs, but I have found the BC fans to be the most arrogant and rather annoying group I've interacted with on this message board. BC fans I've met in person haven't been much better. Hard to root for you guys if I'm being completely honest. Maybe I shouldn't hold it against the kids...but the limited number of people I've interacted with have made me have a general dislike for BC unfortunately.
-
They'll beat Stafford as bad as they want...then they'll do the same to the winner of the BC/Navasota game
-
I for one am really rooting for BC this week...so Kilgore can do the same thing to them that they did to LCM
-
Edgewood's QB is the real deal. Woodville's QB is the real deal. Give me Edgewood in a shootout
-
If they're playing without #10...they're in trouble. That guy is the best player on their defense and it isn't particularly close.
-
So you don't know...it's okay. Generally speaking the 1 vs 4 game between these districts has been a complete toss up over the past 6 seasons since this region became what it is now. It really depends what team gets the 4 seed in that district. Basically 10-4A's district champion would be fighting to be the 4 seed in district 9-4A most years. 2025: Chapel Hill (4) lost to Bridge City (1) 24-21 2024: Lindale (4) beat LCM (1) 49-21 2023: Athens (4) lost to Lumberton (1) 40-14 2022: Palestine (4) lost to Lumberton (1) 54-29 2021: Chapel Hill (4) beat Vidor (1) 25-20 2020: Chapel Hill (4) beat Livingston (1) 49-37
-
Bridge City could win this one. Navasota will be similar in athleticism, but they won't run as vanilla of an offense as CH does. Bridge City plays hard...and that gives you a chance to win every week
-
The dream ends this week against Pine Tree.

Tyler Chapel Hill 21 vs Bridge City 24— Final

Man I'm new to the site...and I really want to root for BC as they represent district 10-4A But the people I've interacted with from BC and the posters on this site make it hard to root for you guys. Congrats on the big win and good luck moving forward. -
Does anyone think that a 10-4A team has a realistic shot to win their bi-district game? Chapel Hill @ Bridge City Longview Pine Tree @ Lumberton Huffman @ Lindale LCM @ Kilgore Thoughts / Predictions?
-
I heard the opposite... Wonder if the UIL will have something to say though?
-
My guess for the top of 4A is somewhere around 1275...not sure about 3A
-
It's ridiculous in my opinion that you can opt up to avoid being in a district with surrounding schools...another word for it is SOFT
