1. if anyone has a shot to be Navasota, it's WOS. That Defense is scary good.
 2. Shepherd and Coldspring both have pretty good tight ends. the kid from Coldspring is tall and long and gets alot of jump balls. the kid from Shepherd is a real big kid at 6-5/6-6 245lbs with good athleticism. Got Shepherd out of alot of jams and is a load to bring down.

 4. Shepherd gets the big head riding a win over Huffman and lays an egg against Liberty. I was scared something like this would happen.
 5. Coldspring has the 2nd smallest enrollment in the district. There is no way they can go D1 because the district takes 3 teams to the play offs. Atleast one school going to the play offs will be bigger than them and go D1.
 6.
There is always a Sykes on the Coldspring team. That is a BIG family.
I was gonna say the sykes from Coldspring. Seems like there is always one playing lol
 7.
Huffman's D has been absolutely atrocious this year, wow!! Congrats to Shepherd. I guess I got some major crow coming my way , I know IDK is going to have alot to say . falconfanatic, I truely don't have a ton to say Huffman is a very good team.I you can remember I have never predicted Shepherd would be anyone all I said was after the game was over you would know you played this team. I wish your team and the QB the best of luck he is a really good one. That Sr. Class from Shepherd has really come around, the finally believe in the coaches and each other. That class has a good core group that worked their butts off, when everyone under the sun keep telling them, writing on forums and in the paper that they had no chance to even win 2 games this year the kept working hard. It is just really good to see these kids play so hard and get some wins. Don't get me wrong they and the rest of the program have a long way to go to even be talked about in the same breath as Coldspring and Huffman. But their is a new attitude in Shepherd and I am slowly starting to see the parents come around to holding their kids accountable for getting the job done and stop blamming everyone else. Coach Keel and the entire coaching staff has done a really nice job. I don't get to high or low for a games like this. There is still two games left that they need to win. Don't get me wrong I am very proud of them and glad to see them have a better year. But we have much work to do, for the future, these boys are laying the ground work for the rest of the program. I am not ok with a good year here and there. I want this program to finally be respected and talked about in a good light for a long time to come. We will get there. Ok off my soap box. llol. But dang was that a great game. Wow.
2 years of having senior classes with only 4-5 seniors that play football in each class is paying dividends for this group of Seniors. Many are 3 year varsity players. Glad to see all the hard work they put in work out for them. Extremely proud of those boys.
 8. To say Tarkington has made no improvement is silly. they may not be as competitive as people once thought they were, but it's not a easy path to correcting many years of losing. I see improvements, not just the varsity level, but especially on the JV, freshman and Middle school level. I think they've got a shot to be real competitive in a few years if they keep at it. those boys work hard and play harder that's something that's never in doubt watching them play on Friday nights. Sometimes you can't just go by W's and L's. They'll improve to start getting more W's and less L's in the future.
Huffman +10 (possible 15) Shepherd +5 (possible 15) Cleveland -15 (possible 15) If Shepherd beats Liberty and Cleveland they go to the playoffs. If Shepherd beats Liberty and loses to Cleveland by 10+ points Cleveland goes to playoffs. Huffman beats Tarkington and Splendora, Huffman goes to the playoffs. Huffman, Cleveland, and Shepherd all control their own destiny for two playoff spots.
Would be a huge thing in Shepherd to make the playoffs in what seems like forever. A little more bragging on the QB, because i feel his play making abilities are overlooked, He has 30 total TD's this year compared to only 8 INT's. 18 of those against District foes while only have thrown 3 INT'S in district.
that's awful! i wish him a speedy recovery. is he a senior?
Yep he's a SR.
Any hope he can play at the next level? He's a talented player, hate to see a career end on an injury. The Shepherd QB finished the game with 6 TD's. 1 pass, 1 KO return, 4 Rushing, and also the game winning interception.
