1. Congrats Warren. Been a while since I've been on. Awesome seeing that senior group perform well
 2. Correct me if I'm wrong. Saturday is the last day of the week. There is a limit on total games a player can play throughout the season. That total is based upon how many tournaments the player is active in as well.
 3. I'm not saying deweyville doesn't have heart. Those kids are working hard to do good and be better. Just saying you need the support and motivation from more than just coaches and players
 4. Every kid has heart. Every coach has heart. No matter how good or bad the team is, every coach, player, or fan, wants their team to win. Even if a team thinks they will possibly lose deep down they have a feeling if every thing is done right they can overtake the game. A coaching staff can teach players to pull every bit of their heart out for the game. Creating a belief system to be better teammate, players, leaders, and fan support is the responsibility of administration, coaching staffs, parents, relatives, friends, and players themselves. Once everyone is committed to common goals a lot more can be achieved than without, no matter how talented a group may be. Grave examples of this are teams like Nederland, PNG, LCM, Buna, and Bridge City. I've seen years where each of these teams may not have had the best players, but have the entire school, community, and baseball program believes they are going to win no matter who is playing for them or witch team they are playing against. You can't create that type of atmosphere in one year or with one coach or one group of kids.
 5. Great job warriors! Looks like you guys are playing like I knew you would. Great job Coach Wofford, keep doing a fantastic job leading that great bunch of players
 6. Why not name it "Bubba" Smith Field at "Butch" Stadium. That way Thomas gets to keep his namesake and recognize Bubba.
 7.
Although it may seem that Trawhon would be the favorite to become the next head baseball coach, word is the bobcat community is stirring about former Orangefield baseball standout Brandon Morgan coming back to take the job. Morgan who has a successful record as a head baseball coach in the smaller schools and was the star of the bobcat baseball team in the late 90’s, could possibly be a candidate. Just rumors for now.
Not to take away from his coaching or that he was a good athlete, because he was a strong and quick athlete, but star of the late 90s bobcat baseball? He was there two years, I believed he was also with either newton or buna in high school; and Vito Agerton and Daniel Bourgeois were great players with Bourgeois being the district MVP the 2 years Brandon was there. From what I recall those two were the stars of the late 90s and the Bobcats had a great cast of Players.
 8.

Here we go ;D
Question, if it says newcomer, then why is there more then one person listed? Why is there five outfielders when three are on the field? On pitchers, who determines how many pitchers is first team? There's some more questions that I'm thinking of ;D :D
not sure about the newomer, but the coaches decide on how many players are given first/second team slots for all positions. if they wanted they could have had more or less players for outfield/pitchers
 9.
Have fun in college with pitcher throwing 5-10 MPH harder and the new certified bats. ;)
Yeah, it's going to be a big jump up. Hopefully they were line-shots that will turn into doubles if they don't leave the park
 10. With the new bats, yes, the power numbers are going to diminish, but that has nothing to do with line drives up the middle, 6-hole, 4-hole, or a gapper. It's going to cause all the dip-and-drive guys to change their philosophies, or they'll dip-and-drive to mid-outfield. A good batter/hitter will find a way to get on.
 11.
In the day n age of "self promoting", its really nice to see "Team" accomplishments.... An "Ataboys" - "Atagirls" out to Evadale Athletics.... One question, Is it the same "athletic director" during this entire 4 years of this  "Team Commitment"? Fackler
Coach Williams I believe
 12. That's true domination of a district. Awesome job Rebels
 13.
So the best running back in the state gets an op to play for PNG and the only drawback is he has to wait 15 days before playing varsity ball? Is that...what maybe 1 game he'll miss??? As I said...recruiting will take on a whole new dimension if open enrollment exists.  Maybe all our schools should consider it? Kind if like Baytown back in the day when your daddy could get a job at Exxon if he had good stocky boys to come along too and play for the Ganders.
Well your option can happen right now. Parents just have to move in the district. If any parent likes a school more than another, they can move in for athletics. Just have to have an address in the district. Open enrollment has to do with those with residence outside the districtand want to go to another school without moving, Not the 15 day wait. The year wait
 14.
Wouldn't recruiting gain a whole new dimension?
Not really recruiting. I think they still have to live in the district to play varsity the year they are enrolled. Move-in in the district-wait 15 days, out of district- school year? Someone let me know if I'm wrong on this
