They were neck and neck with Desoto for 4 quarters. I’d argue SLC was the 2nd best 6A team this year. I just can’t see Jeff leaving. There’s no competition in the area in 5A and he’s got full control. Could be wishful thinking, just hoping he’s still here when my son is playing varsity in 5-6 years

I’ve been saying this and you’re spot on. Wouldn’t surprise me in the least bit to see some new faces on the roster next season. This is just the start of something big.

SLC would have to move on from Riley Dodge and that’s not happening.

A true champion shows their true colors during a loss. SOC, South Dallas, and SOC supporters have shown their self today. Taking one play out of 4 quarters of football and blaming that on the loss. Trying to take away what PNG accomplished today. Let's not talk about all the no calls on the SOC secondary. The drive prior to when it was blatant PI in the end zone and nothing was called. When Reid Richard is running down the sideline and gets tackled before the ball even gets there, no flag. Blaming the whole game on one call is a loser mentality and lack of accountability. PNG was the better team today.

I was told by a source that he’s not going anywhere. He’s looking to create his own dynasty separate from anything else he’s been associated with in the past. He was looking for a place with huge community support. He’s got that at PNG. Katy will never be what they once were with all the new schools that continue to pop up around there. There’s no threat of PNG having to build a new school, he can have this whole corner of the state if he chooses.

Anyone know if they’ll be using both east and west entrances on Saturday morning?

I think the closest comparison as far as size and speed that PNG has seen is Fort Bend Marshall. Granted neither team played well that night, FBM is a certified track team with athletes at every position.

Yes, they will just clear out the lower bowl after the PNG game so North shore or duncanville fans (whoever is home or away) can get those seats first. Having said that, I watched the Boerne vs China spring game last year and they didn’t make me leave before our game. It cleared out and I walked over and got the seats our group wanted

Has anyone been to the early game at AT&T? My wife is dropping me off that morning to wait in line and was wondering how early people start getting there. My daughter is an Indianette so we try to sit in a certain spot.

You’re right, I’ve watched a few of their games but had to go look at their measurable. Their offense is essentially a mirror of what PNG does. Their d line is smaller than what they were last year. Should be a good game

The blocking will look different this next week against SOC. LH was cutting all game due to the size difference, next week will be strength vs strength.

Who is bashing an individual player? When a LH fan says a certain player is gonna hit PNG so hard the fans are gonna feel it, you can bet I’m gonna say something. I hope our boys have more fight tomorrow than some on here appear to have 🤷🏻‍♂️

Hell yea it matters, a singular referee is responsible for a scoring drive in a playoff game. 3 personal fouls in a row and missing that call is ridiculous

I’m just anxious to see how a 165lb nose tackle does for 4 quarters. They rely on quickness up front obviously but we’re talking 100-150lb weight difference here. If the PNG offensive line gets to the second level, the LH defense will be in for a LOOOOONG night. They’ll be forced to bring the safeties down and I like Nunnley, Adams, and Washington over anyone in their secondary.

Yea I watched on nfhsnetwork. SOC’s quarterback has horrible mechanics. Danny Green is tough but no better than the Bears kid from Lake Creek. They’re not sexy, they just lean on you kinda like what PNG does. They’ll definitely beat Emerson but I highly doubt it’s as bad as the game today. I quit watching at the end of the 3rd to go watch my daughter in the parade in Groves

I watched it, Lovejoy shot themselves in the foot all game long. Questionable coaching, super aggressive and he bit them. Their D line was a little undersized and SOC made them pay. SOC wasn’t flashy, I think they were better last year but still extremely tough. Emerson is gonna score on them, no question about that.

The problem is the availability of streaming online and watching from home. I understand it’s convenient for some but if you want to support your team, buy yet complain about attendance, get off your couch and go to the game. Simple as that.
