  1. These bozos like @BMTSoulja1 are clueless but you're absolutely right. This dude will tip toe around the real reasons why BMT will continue to struggle, as long as they are 6A and play the best of the best. Hell, he won't even tip toe, he will straight up not even acknowledge them lol. Lets hit the main reasons - no turf field, not all kids in the athletics periods, chaos across campus, coaches exhausted from teaching 6 classes every single day. The other schools in the district don't have these problems, but this dude will just say "The talent is there and the coaching is bad". Such a joke. Some of the coaches these dudes ran out of town are still coaching right now in the playoffs.
  2. Umm ok but that's a complete 180 from your initial post. Congrats?
  3. Kids have to buy in. Talent means nothing if kids don't buy in. Look, I've already laid out what resources are. You're just not acknowledging them, and are instead inserting what you think they are. Resources, as one can easily see from the context of what I've said before, includes things like getting kids in the athletic period, having coaches with the energy to coach because they are in the athletic periods with the kids, not teaching 6 classes a day every single day.... with turf practice fields, higher pay, better benefits, better facilities. I didn't say anything about recruiting. There are plenty of places who do it right that don't need to recruit, in fact most. Football teams are full of people. People are simple - they are so often products of atmosphere and environment. Coaches are people. I think your heart is in the right place, but respectfully, I think you're very wrong about most of what you're saying about the football in BMT.
  4. Also, "you're not buying" what? The data? Me saying that WB had to build their success, and it wasn't organic? You're not buying that when things are crazy on campus, that it can leak over and affect the football program? You're not buying that the other programs they play against have far superior resources to bridge gaps? Everything I said was true bro. You're in denial.
  5. Piss poor coaching you say, yet, coaches that have left BMT are currently successful at other places. Saying it's coaching is such a cop out, if you're not willing to even accept the other variables. Well, they're coaching against programs that get all their kids in their athletic period, coaches who only teach a couple or a few classes, and get to be in the football period with all of their kids. Coaches that get paid way more - teaching salary AND coaching stipends, not to even mention summer days. Coaching against high school programs with comparable resources to college programs. You're out of your mind if you think those things don't make a huge difference.
  6. No. Not all schools gave kids an option to be virtual. It was the wrong choice for BMT. The data alone from the educational aspect proves this - data on attendance, testing, reading levels, and etc. The list is long. These things contribute to the discipline and atmospheric problems plaguing the high schools. Sure, it's a problem at other places too, but many of those places have much better resources to bridge the gap. BMT football kids were already going up a steep hill before COVID. Yes, there was success from WB in football, but that was built. It wasn't organic. Stump came in an reset the football culture, and it progressed from there. I've read you guys posts for 2 years on here before I recently started posting - those other off the field variables are more significant than yall will ever acknowledge.
  7. There's some truth in that for sure. I even would have thought that United would win more than just 1 game, but like you said - here we are now. Martin is talented, yes, but I don't think he alone would make the difference. WB still just better at almost every position on the field in truth. There are just so many negative forces working against these kids in BMT right now, and it has infiltrated the football. There are a lot of different reasons, but I think letting the kids be virtual instead of going to school during COVID is the biggest. It screwed up education, but it screwed up the discipline wayyyyyyy more. Just my opinion.
  8. WB will win. They simply have much more talent. Now, I'm interested in the Freshman game. BU Freshman have talent this year, from what I have heard. I don't think the under level teams have ever beat WB. On Friday, WB is going to win. Everyone knows it bro.
  9. There are MANY reasons for the schools to be this pitiful. Competing against schools that get all of their players in the athletic period, have turfed practice facilities on campus they can use all year round, and have a massive advantage on numbers in the program makes a huge difference. WB and United are playing in the probably the most talented high school district in the State - and maybe even the entire country. That's not hyperbole either. The coaches in BISD have to teach 6 classes a day, get to be in only 1 of the football athletic periods, if they are lucky, and only get 5 days pay over the summer. Meanwhile, the coaches at the other schools in the district teach only a couple or a few classes, are in multiple athletic periods, and get 15-20 days payed for the summer - that money is a game changer bro. If you've never worked in coaching, or you have never had someone close work in coaching, you might not even understand what I am talking about, but it's a deal breaker many times for even getting coaches to come to BISD. Now, add on the culture/atmosphere/environment that the coaches (who are also teachers) have to spend their non football time in, and factor that into the equation as well. The student-athletes live and are molded by the same negative environment every single day.....
  10. Ummm you're talking completely out of your arse on all of this. West Brook is already majority black and Hispanic, so what you're trying to say about the demographics not going to school on one side of town is completely bogus. Also, West Brook couldn't hold that many students. There is no campus that exists in the city that could hold that many kids. A new campus would have to be constructed.
  11. Who was Langston homeboys with? Just because he went to school there in the 90's? I'm for real curious.... and Graham might have been a "homeboy" with people in BISD, but he actually went to the playoffs 2 years in a row. There may never be another United team EVER make the playoffs. For real. The truth is BISD only care about Basketball. Anyone paying attention knows it's true.
  12. Sounds like you need to go get your Bachelors Degree and a Teaching Certification and get to work! I would love to see you draw some X's and O's up on the board! I'm sure you could show those ex professionals and college players something! I bet WB's lack of success has absolutely nothing to do with the absolutely horrible atmosphere and environment within the whole school...... I bet the constant distractions of being on lockdown and shelter in place and dealing with violent events on campus has absolutely nothing to do with the performances of 16 and 17 year olds. That staff needs someone like you who knows winning in High School sports is just about "coaching".
  13. What did they need to do to keep them though? Increase salary? Does Hardin have the ability to provide extra resources, if that's what the coach wanted? What are the expectations at Hardin for success, and what are the ambitions? So many small country towns are in denial about what their program should be.
  14. When a statement is made attempting to actually sound knowledgeable about Football tactics/techniques/positions, but instead outs themselves as the complete opposite, it is worthy of the negative feedback.
  15. Their ends are probably in a 4i and he doesn't realize and thinks the OLBs are actually ends.... I've never seen Lumberton play, but I bet I just solved the puzzle lol
  16. Sounds like you should go get a bachelors degree and a teaching certification and get to work coaching!
