Please let's not start making differences between the programs. Jasper is big enough to support all of its sports programs.

First, let me make it clear that I am a Jasper fan because I'm sure that what I am about to say will offend some of my hometown boys. But, I have to agree that it is difficult to read some of the posts on here due to spelling, grammar and punctuation errors. There are many intelligent people that come from Jasper. Check your statements to make sure they are clear and complete sentences before posting, guys. Even better, use spell and grammar check. Finally, we are on a message board that is not restricted to Jasper posters only. So, you should expect others to read and comment on any posts on this board.

Newton is very well coached, which makes them a threat to go deep almost every year, including this year.

I agree with the poster that said the talent is not what we are used to seeing. I agree with the other poster that the coaches are not putting the team in a position to win - use what you got. We don't have the skill players to run the spread. But, more than anything, I also agree with the poster that said this team has no heart and no leaders amongst them. Remember that 2003 semi-final team almost beat Burnet had it not been for the referee's call at the end of the game when Burnet scored their winning drive? There were maybe 2 returning starters from the previous year. Now that team had more heart than any Jasper team I'd ever seen. This team doesn't seem to have any fight.

This could apply to work or any other organization...Management 101 - Of course, a leader should listen. Then, evaluate [hopefully, the leader has seen that there is a problem before the team has to tell the leader that there is a problem]. If the leader feels strongly that things should not change, then the leader should explain the reasons his way will lead to success. After this discussion, the team should feel confident that their leader is leading them in the right way. Now, on the other hand, a leader has to know his AND the team's strengths and weaknesses. If, after an HONEST evaluation, the leader agrees with the team that things should change, then ask the team for ideas on what they think will help. Whether the leader employs them or not, the team at least feels that their opinions matter and gains a sense of empowerment.

Hey im a JASPER fan to the bone and any other time i would be upset about your words but man you are telling the truth Coach Brooks needs to make some changes on his staff cause our DB just getting beat we need to get it together real fast if we can.I know we run a spread Offense but teams are not worried about that anymore cause we do the same stuff man COACH Quick you need to mix it up. For Jasper, I can't name just one thing either. I'm not too sure that we even make the playoffs this year. After the last two weeks, I say our chances of making the playoffs are less than 50%. I think this year may be a wash. BUT, I think our future is bright! Maybe we start preparing some of these young guys by bringing them up to play a few varsity games.

The way Jasper played last night, I fear we could be in for much worse. Last night was absolutely painful to watch. And, I'm not sure it matters much if you make the playoffs and get pounded in the first round...

I say at least hold off on asking this question until the end of the regular season.

Disappointment - Jasper. I never thought we would have only won 1 game at this point in the season.

Jasper's offense shows flashes of greatness. But, still way too much inconsistency. The defense is progressively improving.
