Varsity WH - 50 SP - 43 Sharks playoff hopes are gone.  Hard fought game, but the Oilers never let up.

Takes time to establish a team for a new coach, just having a new coach doesn't mean the players will automatically change their styles.  He should start being accountable next season.  West Hardin is losing 6 seniors this year and Coach Henry has a pretty good JV squad.  We'll see!

It was somewhere around 52-43.  West Hardin girls secured the 3rd playoff spot with last nights win.

It really depends on a number of different factors.  1. What style of offense will Coach Henry run, if different from last year. 2. Underclassmen that are coming up to Varsity, size & speed? 3. Offensive line protection for the QB has to improve in the middle. 4. Oilers lost a few of the main defensive studs, can those positions be filled with comparable talent? Here's who we lost: Moss - QB/DB Werner - DE/OL Harrington - TE/DE Burns - RB/LB Clark - WR/LB Cotton - OL/DL Spurgen - OL/DL Bott - OL/DL Collier - WR/DB Not sure if this means anything, but next year will comprise the same team that the Oilers had 3 years ago that went undefeated in Junior High.  I know there are huge differences, but I'm still intrigued.

Over the holiday break, West Hardin lost one of it's student-athletes to an unfortunate accident.  I don't know the details, but James Sangwin will be missed by the Oiler family. In a showing of respect to this young man, his jersey #33 was hung over a chair on the sideline during the game by some of the Varsity players.   Coach Henry made a classy move by having James start with his fellow JV squad and be the jump ball man to start the game off.  He played with 4 players for the 1st 1:30 of the game.  There's been a lot of unfortunate deaths this year, but it's nice to see that kind of respect from a coach & school. So... thank you Coach Henry and the Varsity players for your respect and sportsmanship!!!

That's right, it's not a typo!  West Hardin had their best game so far this season putting up 84 points. Also, here are the scores from the other three games tonight: Girls Varsity WH - 41 Col - 28 Boys JV WH - 39 Col - 9 Girls JV WH - 11 Col - 13

Games will kick off at 4:15 according to Coach Henry.

Good luck finding a complete list.  I was told by a coach from another school that our district was only going to tell their own players and not post the whole thing.  Which I think is garbage!  I am interested if you can find it though.
