2. Still only 2 games out of the NFC east lead.
3. any position on the defensive line that can get pressure on the qb
4. The line-up that Orangefield used last night included the same players that have played in all of the playoff games.  Explain your logic, besides a batting  average that was in the Orange Leader, behind your statement of, "if your Bobcats would put the best 9 on the field they could give Silsbee a run."
5.

What was the real attendance?
Maybe 300..... ;)  and if your Bobcats would put the best 9 on field they could give Silsbee a run.....smh
The best 9?  Please enlighten us on who the best 9 are.
6.
somebody has to have some input. lets go guys
Just got word that game 1 will be played in New Caney on Thursday at 7:00.  Game 2 in Vidor on Friday at 7:00.
7. Thanks to a couple of friends of mine I have been able to see a copy of 21-3A district rules.  Here is what the rules say: Method of Determining Championship Rule B -Should there be a two-way tie (defeated each other) there would be a one game playoff.  The winner would be declared district champion.  In case of a two way tie percentage wise, the team with the best record between the two will be declared the district champion and the other team the district runner up.  This process will also be used to determine the runner up in case of a tie for second place. Rule D The third place team will be determined in the same manner as the champion and runner up. Now to the Buna and Orangefield situation.  Buna has finished the season at 6-6. Orangefield is currently 6-5 with a game vs BC. If Orangefield beats BC they finish the season at 7-5. If Orangefield loses to BC, they finish the season at 6-6. This would tie Buna and Orangefield for 3rd. Orangefield would win the 3rd playoff spot due to head to head record. I hope this clears everything up.
8.
I absolutely loved the OF coach coming over, while his fans were yelling and screaming, to tell HJ fans that " Blue says if ya'll don't get quiet they'll call the game!" We all agreed call the game and voiced that. They didn't even have the guts to do what they threatened to do. Then to reverse 2 calls because OF coaches were having a fit, was insane. 2 umpires who couldn't pour dirt out of a boot without the other one helping direct. I also loved it when the OF coach yelled at the ump and kicked dirt across home plate and was allowed to remain in the game, when Erickson was calm and collected and got ejected.  That is exactly why we should NEVER give up home field no matter what!!
The umpires that called the game would have been the same if this game would have been played at HJ so it had nothing with home field.
9. i have a feeling that BC will win this game
10. it looks like 6 wins can actually get someone into the playoffs
11. Just heard a rumor that the Jasper head baseball coach has been reassigned.  Any truth to this?
12. First things first, everyone needs to remember that a pitch count is only a number.  The majority of people seem to swear by the 100 pitch, pitch count.  Why?  Who decides 100 pitches is the limit?  Who can tell a pitcher when they get to 100 pitches they are done? What if the pitcher is in great shape and can go another 20-30 pitches?  What if the pitcher should have quit throwing at pitch number 63 or pitch number 81?  That number is under the magical 100 mark so surely no damage could be done to a player, right.  Of course not.  It depends on the player and every player is different.  Again, a pitch count is only a number so don't get so caught up with it.  Next, some of the problem today is the overuse of pitchers.  Do I mean overuse in a game?  Maybe, but let's think about what these kids do today.  How many pitchers can you name that play high school ball then go to some type of pitching coach on the side?  I'm willing to bet that everyone that reads this knows at least 5 people that pitch for their high school and then go to some other type of training.  Is that extra training considered when we bring up the term, overuse or is that term only saved for the general high school coach?  I'm willing to bet the high school coach knows a little more about the use of their pitchers and their players since they see them everyday.  Where a pitching coach on the side, only sees the kid a few times a week.  I will give you an example of what I'm talking about.  Let's say Joe pitcher throws 90 pitches in a game on Tuesday.  He may come to practice on Wednesday and do little to no throwing then throw a light bullpen on Thursday and probably play some other position on Friday.  Sounds like the typical high school baseball pitcher, right?  What if Joe pitcher is going to pitching lessons on Wednesday and Thursday after practice?  What type of throwing does he do there?  Does his pitching coach know what he has done in high school baseball that week?  Does the pitching coach care what he has done in baseball that week?  I'm not saying it's impossible to do both but, in my opinion, it's very hard to do both without the risk of overuse!!! To bighawk, be sure you know where your overuse came from before you start blaming your surgery on something that happened when you were a freshman.
13. You guys must be talking about the Martel kid.  He had a pick, 2 forced fumbles and made a great catch on offense.
14.
Time to work on your offense when you give up the majority of the touchdowns .     ??? And I am not talking about the boys.   :-\
If you're not talking about the boys, then who are you referring to?  I'm willing to bet that this team works on offense every day of the week.
15. Who you got?
16. Which team will get their 1st district win?
17.
So Kirbyville plays tonight at 7 against Hardin Jefferson?
No, Kirbyville will play Deweyville tonight at 7.  Deweyville beat HJ 16-4.
18. The meeting was Wednesday. Not sure when the picks will be released.
19. Frosted Flakes are good. By the way, who makes that cereal?
20. Previous athletic participation form? You mean there's a form that has to be approved? Surly there's someone on a payroll that takes care of these things. How can this kid possibly play in HJ if he was kicked out of school in Alabama?
21. Jacob McDonald is playing great defense for the Silsbee Tigers in centerfield. If the ball is in the air, there's a good chance he will catch it. Strong, accurate arm for the sophomore.
22. So what you are saying is that you know more about BC than you do about HJ. Obviously becasue you don't cover HJ, like you do BC. Which is why you are having such a hard time with the COACHES CHOICE of the district MVP.
23. Im paid to have an opinion and have seen enough 3A baseball this season to have a strong one. Well guess what. The coaches are paid to coach these kids and paid to make the all-district selections, which they did. I'm pretty sure they have seen enough 3A baseball this season to have a strong opinion as well.
24. Oh no, not a column in the Orange Leader! What does that mean anyway? Oh, and by the way, obviously there are a few people that can and did argue about the best player in district 21-3A. They're called the 8 coaches that had the opportunity to coach, coach against, nominate and vote on the MVP of this wonderfully tough district. I think these guys know a little more about who is and who is not the MVP. The coaches have spoken. Congratulations to each and every player who received an all-district award. You deserve all the recoginition that may come your way.
