[/quote] Oh don't get me wrong,  I am not knocking those players DC in my opinion is the best all around player in the area this year.  Prentice has to be near the top of the list in area players as well.  And Kelton will be real good.  Then we have the twins and Xavier to add talent as well as some tlent coming up from JV.  They will have to prove themselves playing varsity.  6 or 7 players is not much depth.  We only played about  that last year and it hurt against Madison when they played several more than we did.  The talent is not my concern.  Height could be a problem down the line.  It will be up to those players to play bigger than they are and they can do it.  We will be just fine.

I was there last friday and I have to say it is great to hear that a player had that much respect for his coaches and fellow players.  I am sure he has learned from his mistake.  I do have a question though.  It looked like Jasper's #10 was talking to the official then the flag got thrown.  Was this the correct view or were the players talking to each other? Don't need any other information,  I just found it odd that the official would call such a penalty as a result of something he was told by a player.

WOS won't be on top of the district much less state!!

Maybe he wouldn't run up the score but I have seen some pretty lopsided scores posted by Newton through the years!

Texas Football should have done a little more research.  They have Cleveland playing Silsbee in the first round in D1 and Huffman out of Clevelands district playing D2 when Huffman is the largets school in the district. Based on UIL numbers at [Hidden Content]

No noone should hate and yes it definately falls to coaches and sponsors to teach these teens to kneel in that situation but I know some of them have been in that position before and should have taken leadership. It was even announced that a knee should be taken.

No not the hit that cost the respect it was the fact that players and cheerleaders from Jasper acted like nothing happened. I did not see one of them take a knee to show respect for the injured player. To all that is a show of poor sportsmanship.

Looks like only 0-10 is possible to me!!

Just like one journeyman basketball doesn't make a team one football player doesn't make a team either. ;)

Wow, I hope the Dr is wrong but you could see how much pain the kid was in. I was wondering about the unsportsmanlike conduct call was for. It looked like jaspers #10 told the official something and then he threw the flag and called the penalty against Lumberton. Had to be bad for coach to go all the way on the field and pull the player out of the huddle.

Is he injured?
