Was reported earlier that Jasper decided no longer to face Silsbee in any sports and told us to find other tourneys for baseball and soccer this year.

I asked that earlier. It seems the obvious thing but could there be another reason?

Exactly....some fault can be placed on the student/family but the school district definitely has fault as well.

And I can vouch from first hand experience about some trying to get away with it. When I was in school years ago I pretty much lost a friend who had told me he was probably failing. His report only had his grades listed on it not the average. He didn’t think the coach would figure that he was failing. When he did he blamed me for alerting the coach and got mad at me. I had never said a word. And by the way back then it was fail a class no playing for a full 6 weeks.

One thing here. I am sure that this was probably a grade issue but has that been confirmed or is there any other possibilities?

Yes and they should have known even if they were close and if I was a team mate I would be pretty mad at them. However they are kids and unfortunately will try to get away with things even in cases like this. That’s why the grades are or should be checked within the school. Naturally that starts with the Coach but then goes down to the submitting of said grade if it is or isn’t there. I don’t know that exact process so I am not going to say it is on either but it should be checked within the school to protect the team.

Oh I agree completely. The fault is within the school district just not sure which area of the school district. It’s truly sad.

From what I have heard it’s sometimes a matter of when those grades are actually submitted.(sometimes they are late)

SISD reported this morning via Facebook that they have discovered that the girls basketball team has used an ineligible player in 5 district games. The matter has been reported and turned over to the district executive committee.

Yes I have liked seeing That out of Jordyn. I have noticed Devon’s form and shot looking so much better outside when those start falling more for him it’s really going to create problems for the opponents.

I still want to know why they built it with no speakers. Wheeling a set in on a rolling table is weak!!

And yes we can still get that number but his speed and hops gets him those a little easier.
