It was a good game. Will Farr had 4 TD's on 157 yards carrying. Most impressive was Evadale's passing game, Klay Sylvestor passed for 247 yards with 2 TD's. Bryce Tousha had 78 yards receiving and 2 TD's Evadale's run game opened up the pass game.... They were firing on the ground and in the air.

Yes this is Will Farr senior year, they also have 2 other running back, Anthony barns and Chase Smith that are very good with lots of speed, which is helping Farr get the breaks he needs. Chase Smith is probably hands down the fastest kid in the school and he is a sophomore, I believe. Several of the boys talk about he fast he is. Regardless of the running game when you have the size and strength they have on the O-line and D-line a semi descent running back can get lots of yards. With a very good running back like Farr and that line it opens up a different type of game... Look for a couple running backs to be over 100 yards in this one.....

Evadale took control from the beginning. Came out second half and was able to sit 95% of all the varsity starters, Overton took advantage and scored twice in second half. Evadale walked away with the win 46-14 but looked very good.

Wishing Evadale the best of luck as they start this new season....

I'm looking for a basketball league going on during summer for high school age boys. Son is wanting to play summer ball, I know Hoops use to have a league but haven't been able to find out anything about them.

Does anyone have the address of where the Kountze Summer League Games are being played? Is it the High school?

Just want to give a BIg congratulations to the Rebels. They were a young team and after last years grad class people felt that it would be a growing year. They proved to everyone that with heart and determination you can do what you want. They had fun and played ball. They proved doubters wrong and stayed focus on the prize. They may not have beat Refugio BUT they were in both games and never stopped pressuring until the final out. This TEAM went further than people figured; it’s been almost 10 years since Evadale made it this far. My hats off to each of you and the coaches for a GREAT season, nothing to be ashamed of. With this young team it looks like Evadale going to have a very successful season next year. Again congratulations to the 2019 Evadale Rebels Baseball Team and Coaches. Can’t wait till next season.

You are so correct, yesterday was a bad game and Evadale should have not lost. They went into the game tense and playing as such. 3 past balls and 2 errors cost them 4 runs. Today is a new day and its 0-0, time to redeem what happened yesterday.

Should have never lost game gave up 4 unearned runs with errors and past balls.... Game 2 tomorrow.

I can confirm the first 4 losses Evadale had were because they had 4 players in basketball. All of which start on the baseball team. The 5th loss was the Monday the cane back from the basketball loss and no baseball practice. They are a good group of players that love what they are doing. Only losing 2 starters this next year with a good group coming off JV. Going to be tough again next year.

Anybody know anything about Refugio. Teams in the district didn’t appear to have winning records, sort of like Evadale?
