  1. BIGJ#70, don't worry about what some people's opinions are about EC, you do have a good team with a lot of heart, and you showed what the team can do with the Orangefield game. And everyone knows what a great football program Newton has and only the teams that have played Newton and ever won should be the only ones talking. So just let everyone think that you don't have anything and show it to them on Friday nights. Best of Luck to you and the Bucs.
  2. Going with EC. EC 28 HF 14 LETS GO BUCS!!!!!!!!!!
  3. I don't know why you are referring to EC fans because most of the talk on here isn't EC fans. I am a EC fan and have nothing but respect for the Newton football program. And I have said before that whether EC wins or loses they will learn alot from Newton. And just like Coach Barbay, EC Coach Valastro likes to play good teams to get ready for district.
  4. Whether EC wins or loses they will definitely learn from the game and making them a better team for DISTRICT. And Newton is definitely a good team to learn from. We do like to play teams that make us better.
  5. Congrats Bucs. Looking good with alot of great team work and alot of players stepping it up. Lets keep that going!
  6. I heard they were holding a jamboree type scrimmage but haven't heard when, where and the teams involved Friday in Anahuac not sure of the time. Teams will be High Island, O Connell, and FB Baptist.
  7. Well I hope it will be a good game and it helps both teams. Coach V usually always picks 3A or excellent 2A teams to help get his team ready for district play. And if it is true about Newton not wanting to play the last couple of years then it could be that his son coachs at Anahuac and can give him some pointers when EC plays Anahuac. But I really don't think that Coach Barbay was scared to play EC.
  8. Sounds like some politics involved. You vote for my player and I will vote for your's. I really hope that isn't what happened. That stuff happens in Little League. I would really be disappointed in High School COACHS that would do something like that.
  9. Congrats!!! Just a little surprise that the 4th - 6th place teams in district have more players than the 3rd place team?
  10. Hey COOP, I know that you can find out the list. It's ashame that 2A is the only list not listed.
  11. EC only played HF and HJ, and EC won both games.
  12. Sorry, don't know where they would have it listed. The only list I have seen for 24-2a was just Hardin players and the Port Arthur News just listed 5A - 3A this past weekend.
  13. East Chambers Seth Duhon SR Justin Deviller SR Trey Lambert JR Wasey Weisse JR JT Hallmark Soph.
  14. East Chambers Linemen Dominate Competition Some special members of the East Chambers football team traveled to Winona to compete in the 3rd Annual Winona Lineman's Challenge on Saturday, May 17. The lineman challenge can be equated to a strong man competition and is only open to offensive and defensive linemen and linebackers. After an evening of bowling and basketball, the Bucs camped out in the Winona gymnasium. Jacoby Carrington, (lineman team manager) earned the bragging rights as the "Bucs Best Bowler." The following morning, the Bucs competed in 8 events which included: Bench Press, Nascar, Farmers' Walk, Tire Flip Relay, Obstacle Course, Truck Push, Standing Tire Pull, and the Harness Pull. When it was all said and done, the Bucs came away with the first place trophy, outscoring the other 9 teams in their division by 30 points. The team is coached by Coach Cauthern. Participants included: Donte Raymond, Dylan Kramer, Jayson Priebe, Chase Odom, Daniel Renner, Trey Bellard, J. T. Hallmark, Anthony Ortiz, Patrick Colleps, Alfredo Velasquez, Arick Hartman, Eric Hart, Titus King, Daniel Chavez, Efrain Mora, Jose Anaya, Alejandro Sanchez, Tye Leblanc, Brock Levergne, Tanner Mazzola, Colby Trevino, and Jacoby Carrington. Coach Cauthern: "The kids did a tremendous job. They had fun and competed with every ounce of energy they had. Several coaches from other schools commented on how hard our kids competed and got after it and how they behaved with class at all times. I am very proud of everything they accomplished and especially the way they represented East Chambers ISD." Coach Valastro: "We received a ton of compliments from the other coaches, and I was extremely proud of the way our men competed. We are already looking forward to defending our title next year."
