  1. what Dickie V's point is, is!!! Congrats to Vidor, for winning 3 times in how many years now???? GREAT JOB!!!! Another point is,Vidor, why dont ya'll do that again??? oh and Y not do it this year? The point is, this is a new year a new season..Quit basking!
  2. Saw this poll similar poll on easttexassports.com Just curious about what posters prefer to follow.
  3. All I ever hear about is the year Vidor upset and beat Ozen....Well that was then this is now....Come one Vidor beat them that year, Congrats!!!!! High School basketball teams are different every year. You can tell that Vidor was suprised they beat Ozen, still talking about it to this day. Vidor fans, I think its time to stop basking in a victory, that happened long ago. ;D
  4. Hey hes right any thing can happen, I mean they could upset Ozen its very likely! : :D ;D The likeliness of Vidor upsetting Ozen, is about as likely as Dickie V actually agreeing with someone and admitting he is wrong... ;D ;D ;D (no offense, Dickie you one of my favorite posters) 8) gunna go with a safer pick then CATMAN, OZEN BY-------------24
  5. I think the post title must of been BLIND REF IN SETX.. :D
  6. well of course, especially in Brookeland right catman???....already 20 down even before the opening tip-off...lol ;D ;D ;D >
  7. I believe it is not a good idea, because first of all if you expand the feild to 4 teams, and you have an 6 0r 8 team district, with the bottom half of the district being mediocre, the top teams or middle teams of the district, may just settle knowing that they no matter what will lock up a playoff spot. I believe the lesser the feild the more competitive districts games will be, making every game count. So I believe they should not expand. hopefully made some since.
  8. Brookeland rolls in this one, with the score 66-12 at the half. The second half saw the starting 5 seeing two minutes with the rest being played by second and third teams.... The fourth was all JV time... Good Job Coach Henson and the Wildcats, needed a game like this...Keep it going for Leggett on friday...
  9. No not "1", and their were many, many, many, let me STRESS many times he could have been called on it. When Brookeland played WH earlier in the year, they were some very noticable times when he did push off, and had no call, or even called a blocking foul.
  10. Say Dicky, that player you are thinking about is Robert Tovar. He started for them all four years in high school, winning the state title his soph and junior years, lost in semis is freshman year and lost in the finals his senior year. He made all tourney all 4 years. Yeah he played against Brookeland in '99. Gave the wildcats the only lose of the year in the state championship.
  11. I agree Nostradamus, A key to every teams success is a great guard. But In 1A, if a team has a god BIG man, it can push them to the top...
  12. Well first of all, enrollment is a big issue, obviously...I mean of course the more students you have, the more chances you have of having, a 'giant'. I really dont quite understand, its as if its something in the water in the small towns and communities that stunts players growths?. But all seriousness, It is very rare for a 1A team to have someone over the height of 6'4-6'5. And from my observation, the taller players in 1A, sometimes are very very uncordinated. But in 1A if a team has a some what mediocre but slightly athletic BIG man, they have the advantage from the beginning. What do you think CATMAN? I know BS' hasnt been blessed with 6'7 beast, now or anytime soon. lol McKinney I would consider a beast. (great Player) I will call him MINI-Beast!
  13. Man I remember the 2004-05 season, with Morton winning the 1A D-1 and the Texas cup, on the back of 6'10 Kendrick Johnson...Can you imagine that, at that level (or any level) but 6' 10 going up against most 1A teams, whos tallest player, usually ranges from 6' to 6'4....Not even fair.
  14. Sabine Pass ranked. Who have they played? Who they beat? who they lost too? record?
  15. well about the refs being a different crew then brookeland has usual had. They were out of beaumont, the coach of Legget picked the refs actually. Funny that Legget was complaining about them...The refs did a good job.
  16. might i add this is Groveton Centerville...lost to goodrich the other day by 70, 85-15. lol
  17. so Goodrich beat cayuge by 21, k...if you want to be like that catman, goodrich beat big sandy by 16 and brookeland beat big sandy by 14 so.....but we will have to see, huh?.....
  18. ya, they finally built the new gym in 200. but the old gym is horrible! the court is not regulation size. It has poles right outside the sidelines all around. The floor has been taking out and redone know so the floor is better then the new gyms. but again poor construction.
  19. CATMAN, the games in brookeland, so what would be your prediction working n the 20 pts goodrich be down when they walk in the gym? lol ha ;D :D >:(
  20. I believe its going to be closer then some of ya'll may think, we will just have to wait and see. going to be a great and competitive game.
  21. Brookeland has one of the most poorly constructed gyms...the home locker rooms are horrible. have classrooms around the gym, n they have no visitors locker rooms!!!!! they have to use the restrooms, that are also used by jr high students.
  22. about the comment about the Leggett team adjusting to the coach. well it is actually the coaches 2nd year with leggett... Congrats to First Year Brookeland Coach, Eddie Henson and the Wildcats!
  23. well it was 19 pt win with out the +20, 39 with catman...lol
