Can someone tell me when the last time a so called BLUECHIPPER from our area played up to the HYPE and then moved on to do it at the next level. I agree the young man from the Tigers is a good QB and maybe a great Athlete but to believe the tigers will win this game because he is a so called Blue Chipper is funny. If the Raiders play the starters and they are healthy L-Town Rolls, if they don't play or if some play hurt The Tigers stand a good chance to be in the game. I think this game means more to the Tiger fans than the Train fans. I would mot care if I saw some of those dinged up starters sit out and we lost as long as we had them healthy for district. Good luck to both teams and no injuries we hope.

Ok first of all BH is not a weak team, I agree with that. Second the game could have been ugly if the Raider D makes a few stops on 4th and long, they didnt and BH stayed in the game. Lumberton did not play as good as most think they can, but they are young and should get better all year. I thought both Ryans had good games and they will need to do that again this week for the Raiders to win. The one thing no one is talking about is injuries, Lumberton has several players either playing hurt or not playing because they are hurt. AC (thats the BEAST to those that dont know) played last night on a very sore ankle, after the game he told me it was hurting like crazy. He isn't the only one either their are a few that are being tough and playing hurt. If Lumberton is healthy they win this game Maybe big Maybe very close. If Lumberton is not healthy they may see the win streak stop at 2. We have a young group of kids with several underclassmen seeing playing time. Lets support them all. Lets all remember we are fans and we just give our opinion. We have 2 Hardin County schools playing against each other and keep it to a clean rivalry. This young man was my nephew's (Dustin DJ Bates) best friend, when Dj died in a house fire a short while back, Cru made me promise that he could still be by extra nephew. Well he was, he was a great kid. Dont get me wrong all that knew him knows that he did some dumb stuff, some funny stuff, some GREAT stuff and some stuff that made me want to skin his ears. With all that said I loved this kid like a son and will miss him very much. Every one that knew him thanks the SE Texas sport family for their prayers. Cru I know that you and DJ are now looking down on me and prolly having a big laugh but know that unckle JR will miss yall and think about yall every day. Can u believe that there is talk of Lumberton and Vidor being #1 and 2 in district? If I had offered any one that comment 3 yrs ago I would have been locked up. No one knows how this will play out but it is great as a football fan, that going into the season almost anyone in our district could make the playoffs. Good Luck to all the teams and coaches!

T I will still wait and see who the real Coaches name the starters, The comment was over Webb claiming something about a scrimmage he wasnt at and stated 2nd string was in when in fact the same group that started the game was in there, he was corrected by a Dayton fan that was also at the game and oh by the way some of those guys that were in there were dif. guys than the ones that started against BC so before u jump on his back make sure he knows what he is talking about.

EX-coach sorry but we disagree, I have watched practice and 2 scrimmages and have seen a mixture in both practice and practices games. Lets let Coach C name the Starters and the rest of us just give opinions ok. Trust me ITS NOT VERY CLEAR as you say.

So Dayton was out practiced by both WOS and LUMBERTON in their 2 practice games. I know that hasnt happened in the last few years, Like I said great practice Dayton just isnt as Great as they have been in last few years.

Guys with this Lumberton team you cant say (with the exception of a handfull of players) who is 1st or 2nd string just yet. I think Coach C will make that choice and make it RIGHT when the time comes, remember this is just a fancy practice.

Good scrimmage but it is clear that Dayton is not nearly as good as they were the last few years. Not saying they are not better than Lumberton ok Pony fans,,, just saying you dont look as good as last few years.

shorty, it sounds like your team and aggies team must have lost their scrimmages last week. I love when fans talk that smack when their team is much better than another team, BUT WHEN THEY ARE NOT SURE THEY ARE BETTER THEY SAY STUFF LIKE ITS JUST A PRACTICE GAME OR IT DOESNT MATTER, If the PI-RATS were sure they were better they would be talking that smack and WOS fans are scared that the RATS might out score them so they are reminding everyone that this is just a scrimmage! HS Football fans are so funny and Yes I AM IN THAT GROUP TOO lol

Can someone give some info such as who will coach these kids in particuliar the 12 yr olds and what class will they play? I notice several of the pictures look like they have GTB kids in them or hats that are very close. What kind of fees are you looking at?

If you had looked under the scrimmage scores and updates there were some comments on this. I believe it was 4-1 or 4-2. Both teams had bright spots as well as dark spots. It was a scrimmage I think most fans looked at and took it as such. GL to both schools.

I agree Raiders need some work. Rec need to get blocks and hold those blocks. Running game looked better the more they worked it. QB Ryan did look much better and stronger. I think they looked good for first real contact and expect and hope they look better each week. Keep working hard guys to prove some one wrong.

I cant say about WOS but like many of the Pony fans have said Dayton will show up and play like it is playoff game.

For the last several years the Saudi team has been coached by a local guy. I know he lived in Beaumont and some of the other local areas before going over sea's. RS Just keep telling those boys the whole area is pulling for them. Make to the WS and I think me and my boy just may have to fly up and watch. It also has to bee sweet to have both Shane's able to pitch!!!

Coach how does the pitching look, who all do you have left for the championship game? By the way I think you have done a great job managing who pitched, when, and for how long. Congrats from LLL and Coach Virgil Langham

Congrats to RS, GTB and the BC Little league! Hey Lumberton LL is proud of the success one of our local teams is having. This just shows what playing alot of travel ball can do for a league if the kids will come back and make a run at the 12 yr old WS.

Would love to see the District 12 and 32, 9 yr old champs play a best of three series I would even help promote it. I will provide a field and concession stand and Umps! I hear both sides saying they wish they could play the other, well here is your chance. Let me know if either side is really interested.

To answer your question. yes and NO. Jasper did use a pitcher that threw to many pitches. When the W. E. coach was asked if he wanted to protest the game he chose not to. He stated that he wanted his boys to win or lose on the field. Hats off to him. Congrats W. E. for winning the tourney and to jasper for being the runner-up.

AS far as the LUMBERTON tourney West End is the only undefeated team left. Silsbee beat Lumberton tonight to knock the host team out. Jasper lost to W.E. and now plays Silsbee on Monday with the winner playing West End on Tuesday. There has been some good ball players on the field this week. Good luck to the 3 teams left.

Saw some great kids tonight! Lumberton beat Spindletop Jasper beat Amelia Lumberton plays West End and Jasper plays Silsbee tomorrow. I hear that the Lumberton coaches are talking about putting a 8&U team together for the fall and beyond!
