1. Just like every town has a few idiots so does every generation.  Every generation since the dawn of man has said this about the following generation.  There's even some silverbacks in the jungle saying the young apes just don't have what it takes.... Ridiculous
 2. Haha...some of this stuff is just plain funny.  Didn't realize Cody and AJ were from Crosby.  Any Ripkowski from Crosby?
 3.
Sorry Rollinac -I wasn't trying to argue your statement. I meant if you had seen Stratford play early in the year against Montgomery, they played like a completely different team. They have improved tons over early in the year on both sides of the ball. I thought Brenham would dominate them also.
I gotcha....that was my first time seeing them.  Just Brenham didn't play nearly as well as the last few times I've seen them play.
 4.
Nice to meet you guys. Congrats to Brenham District Champs- also Brenham did not play that bad to me- Stratford stepped up and played that good. Now having their starting QB back and a speedy back, plus a decent D, they will not be an easy out in the playoffs.
You may be right, but I'm with Liltex....didn't think Stratford had the speed at the skill positions to keep it that close.
 5.
I still can't figure out why Stratford kept trying to run up the middle. Several drives stalled because they insisted on hammering straight ahead. All their success was running outside or passing the ball. Stratford's Oline was big and stout but Malcom Brown did a great job plugging up the middle. Stratfords secondary is for real. I won't say they shut down Brenham's passing game, but they definitely slowed it way down. But they had no answer for Troy Green. That was the difference in this game. I think Stratford stopped Brenham on 1 3rd and short in the first half. But that was it. Great job by Brenhams offensive line tonight.
They couldn't run the ball left or up the middle.  They did have quite a bit of success running right.  Brenham plays some aggressive defense and Stratford used that against them on the big screen pass early and the last drive.
 6. Good meeting all you guys as well.  Impressions from the game....Brenham laid an egg and somehow still won against a good team....that pretty much tells you all you need to know.
 7. Yep, he's back.  Knew he was tough from the Dayton v Brenham regional final 2 years ago.  He took a beating like no QB I've ever seen in a HS game.  3 of the 5 biggest hits I've seen in person happened to him that game....yet he never came out.  Jello legged it a couple of times and had to be carried back to the huddle by the o-line once but never came out.  Even threw a TD pass on one as I remember.  Tough tough SOB!!
 8. I still think BH wins around 24-21 (that's 4 tds and 4 missed xp's and not a field goal).  24-28 depending on how many extra points they can make.  Just as an FYI with BH and their we're great in all sports....just a quick check of this website shows more posts on football than all the other forums combined.  BH...good at other sports....no one cares.
 9.

Never know if you have channel 13.2 then you can stay home and watch it. Comcast cable anything like that.
Okay, I'm technologically challeged. I got Comcast everything, but how the heck do I get to channel 13.2? HELP!
Yea I can't seem to find the decimal on my remote either  ;D ;D.  Of course I have Direct TV....something about the ability to watch any college or pro game anywhere is appealing.
 10.

You people are cracking me up. If they want to look stupid and stay in the locker room the I say, who cares.  I bet some of these same people that are complaining are the same people that are sitting in the stands complaining to the person next to them (about their perfect little angel not making cheerleader) rather than partcipating in the anthem anyway.
I agree with the statement about people complaining but not the statement about staying in the locker room. By you saying "who cares" That is the attitude of this generation, which is sad. Pretty much sums up the generation of today. Can't wait till some of you get older. Your thought process will change. But guess what? Your kids will not be there to help you in time of need. All they want you to do is die so they can get some money which they don't have because they spent it on you.
Sorry but I have to disagree with you because I am part of "this" generation.  It aint ALL of us.
 11. I would certainly like it if Dayton Vs. SS happens....only one game where that can take place :).
 12. Well if they get in then I certainly see them giving BH a pretty good shot.  The way I understand it, LCM can either be D2 #1 seed and can't be #2 seed but who the heck knows with all the playoff scenarios out there.  I would have to give the edge to the Hill by less than a touchdown.  The good thing is whoever wins that game gets a bye...I mean an HISD team in round 2.
 13. I don't care what happened or didn't happen in the locker room.  Short of a medical emergency, THERE IS NO EXCUSE!  Call this guy and see what he thinks JROTC
 14. Gotta agree...they're the champs till somebody beats 'em.
 15. You'll have to forgive 20-4A....they're used to playing in games that are 58-49.  Montgomery has a great offense.  Last year's state championship was Brenham vs. Aledo and neither team has lost and returned most of their roster...hence the #2 ranking.  The rankings of course mean absolutely squat and Brenham has beat a number of tough teams.  I'll tell you exactly how big and bad they are after Thursday.

I'm not 50 and my son is not a senior. But you are right, he doesn't play.Maybe because he doesn't play football. He gets Commended on all his TAKS test, was invited by DUKE University in the 7th grade to take the SAT test. So yeah he is taking a different path then football. Hows that for academic excellence? has dayton what a state championship in anything??? <-- what is that! you learn that in your better academic school over there on the bump?    So BH may or may not win Friday night.... pretty good assumption don't ya think?  :-*
All colleges recommend students to take the SAT. its called ADVERTISEMENT for their school. I also like the TAKS test score haha. colleges dont even recieve those scores. They are sent to the state and no one else sees them again. O and what did he make on his SAT a big 900? man that would be an awesome score for Dayton. thats 9 times more than the 100  ;D ;D ;D
and 16 2/3 times more than 54.
 17. By that same regard, you don't show up for a 7:00 meeting at 7:08 and then ask why they didn't wait on you to begin.
 18.
Regardless of why they were not on the field, you should wait for them.  It's not like your going to complicate a commercial break or something.  What's an extra few minutes.  Maybe some jack-leg locked a door or the clock is wrong in the delapidated locker room.  Regardless if it's the official or the coah, someone needs to be more patient.  Greatness takes time to prepare!   ;D ;D
Normally you crack me up....not on this issue.
 19. I would really like to see Central put together 4 quarters of football and lay the wood to someone.  It doesn't seem to matter whether the opponent is 9-0 or 0-9...Central is going to play a close game and most likely win in the 4th quarter.  Can someone tell me the last time Central dropped a 40-0 type victory over someone?
 20. This is a dead horse that is worthy of being beaten.  Most disgraceful thing I've seen since that Denver Nugget refused to stand for the National Anthem....and it's happened TWICE this season!
 21. Oh man I'm with you....kept popping up during the game on Friday when I was trying to post.  Would have to click on the text box to remove it.
 22.

19-4A does not want to see Dayton's defense at all.  they are regulating any and e'rebody.  you can't mess with the police...
Before they start getting you NB80 u mean 20-4A but point taken. Nobody in 20-4A has a D that can compare with Dayton and it will show in the 1st rnd of the playoffs.
Dayton Defense looks good because of the pansies that they are playing!!! Dayton doesnt want to see any of the 20-4A offenses... PNG/LCM/Central/Livingston for sure!!!
You've got to be kidding me....PNG has a great offense....LCM is much improved but no better than GP....Livingston is 1 dimensional....Central has a below average offense in the first half, an average offense in the 2nd, and a pretty good offense in the last 4 minutes of the game.
 23. Gonna be really hard for King to move the ball....well hard for everyone to move the ball thus far.  Come with what brung ya'.  No one has stopped the running game in weeks....keep running it and mix in the occassional play action.
 24. Not sure who wins it but it's going to be the quickest game ever played with the always run eagles and the slowest "no huddle" in history.  Gotta give the edge to the BH defense in a close BH victory. Why even run the no huddle if you're draining the play clock to 1 on every play and you're down by more than 2 TD's??
