im sure newton will rack up on the txsw all state team but for tam brown who i think is still leading the state in picks is a shame he isnt a 1st teamer . they have only given up over 20 points twice this year and have pitched 5 shut outs . i dont care what class your in your balling doing that . isnt newton averaging right at 50 points a game if not more ?

i'm looking for old super gold team articles from 1978 to the late 1990's does anyone have these articles or just a list of the teams? i would go too the library myself to find the articles but i no longer live in the area . thank you

congrats to tyrese white of hamshire for making the 1st team as a running back , the 1st running back in probably 20 years from hf to make the team. he had 1,743 yrds 14 tds in just 9 games on a 2-7 ball club. glad to see the young man get some recognition . he was the 2nd player in schools history to have 3 straight 1,000 yrd seasons (k king the 1st) .

do we honestly think they are gonna give it to setx player ?

there was no reason sumlin and A&M should have least won 10 games every year . manziel started the curse of the qb's there and they cant get double digit wins since he has left campus . i mean they had all these gatorade players of the year that were qb's wanting to come there . i really thought kenny hill would play his whole career there but he couldnt handle that post manziel hype and he got caught up in his own hype. but to his credit now he is playing for the big 12 championship . then kyler murray i still dont know what happened with this to this day , but i thought he would have a dynamic career with the aggies taking over from hill . the irony of this is that both ex A&M QB'S (murrary on the sidelines) will be facing one another with a big 12 title on the line and possible playoffs. just think what could have happened if they stayed at college station ? murray is in the kings seat next year and with rodney anderson who is playing as good as any running back in the country right now should dominate big 12 again in 2018 . kyle allen lost his job at houston to king from manviel which is why i mentioned murray first instead of allen cause kyler was going to start that bowl game but he quit or left the team (still dont get that ) allen couldnt get his job back much like in A&M . its a shame within a 2 to 3 year frame the top qbs in the country go to college station and now none of them are there and now sumlin is gone . i still wonder what happened there could someone fill me in ?

despite another rough year for hamshire fannett tyreese white is having a helluva year flying under the radar with 1,196 yrds with 11tds . hopefully they can eek out 2 wins and make the playoffs. (an old alumni can only wish )

zoneblock i will use the years you posted in 2005 hamshire scored 140 points to 231 , 2008 146-287 (losing records ) the years they went to the playoffs in 2014 they scored 349-374 (losing record) now in 2015 they scored 430-309 2015 was better but it wasnt that much better at all . you can score and have a bend but dont break defense , but right now its broke !!! . if they want to win more than 2 games this year they better learn to stop people .zoneblock go to hamshirefannettalumnifootballplayers.com and you will see their history of when they had good teams that made pretty good playoff runs they had good defenses . the last decent defense they had was in 2003 they gave up 179 points and scored 339 points and lost a heart breaker to barbers hills 13-10 in bi-district play.

If your personell is the same it wont matter what defense you run . Until the culture of defense is change at hamshire this will continue to be a problem .

So your rb who has 448 yards 4 tds in 2 games gets the ball only 10 times ? That makes no since they (coahes) just threw in the towel . Like i said before what do you do if they stack the line for white , can we throw the ball ?

3rd week 99 points given up and we are 1-2 . as an alumni i can speak on what i read ,see and know!! You tell me val kilmer when was the last time hamshire had a stingy defense or just a decent defense? you have to go back to 2003 and back even further than that . When hamshire was winning district titles and going 3 deep in the playoffs they had solid qb play , very good o line , always had good running backs and a stingy defense . So since 2004 till now where has hamshire defense ranked in their district ? Defense is no longer stressed , which is why there was a 10 year absence from the playoffs . So talk all you want the tape, stats and final score tells me all i need to know . So even with the ridiculous 4 teams out one district playoff system if you cant play defense you will be exposed . Coaches need to take a page from WOS about defense . They stress defense there cause you know the saying defense wins championships .

the last 2 yrs with king hf didnt have a problem scoring they had/have a problem with stopping people from scoring . the 15 season with white as a soph he took pressure off of king (extra weapon) they got too area and should have beaten bellville and could have beaten giddons cause they played no defense either and hamshire could have ended up playing WOS where we knew what the outcome would have been there . my point is defense has to be played and if you have weapons that can at least get you a nice playoff run. they can possibly pull of what liberty did last year . if your studs have too play both ways then so be it . when was the last time hamshire had weapons at qb , rb wr and a stingy defense and was in the playoffs regularly ? THE 90'S!!! so i hope they use spacek , paine and morris whom i think can be special along with white too make some noise . but that defense needs their help BIG TIME !!!

that is my point you have weapons then use all of them on boths sides of the ball !! did you just ask me whats wrong with hf's defense ? in 2 games they have given up 72 points , that is 36 a game and that is not good , not even in this era of poor defensive play . they can run the ball all they want that is good ,but what is wrong with passing the ball in this era of time, if you have the people that can do it . no you dont need to throw the ball to win a state championship but you damn well better be able to stop someone !!!
