hey DYNASTY so your statement that NED WHITE crushed LUM WHITE in the superbowl last year proves that your comments aren't worthy of reading....the final score was 22-7....I'm not sure how familiar you are with the game of football...but that score is not indicative of a blowout...or getting "crushed"...people that get on message boards and whine about youth sports that are run by dads and volunteers that donate their time are simply worthless...

Not sure what to expect from the JUNIOR division, but i have heard that Lumberton white (juniors) have already inherited the nickname "the cupcake crew".

My point was not about the glory days...it was about making statements that are factual....I like Credeur...I think he was a great role model for the kids, but he is not the only coach that has had success in L'town.

This in response to...."[b]They've never been competitive in football....except under Credeur[/b]" '89...6-4  i believe they beat the 3rd ranked 3a team in the state that year '90...7-3  only 2 teams made the playoffs way back then...only 2 district losses '91...8-2  again, only 2 teams made the playoffs...how awful is that...no playoffs I am sure there a few more examples...so post them if you know them... if that isn't competitive.....what is?

the best way to compete on friday nights if you have an undersized line and typically have 5-7 good athletes at your skill positions...3 step drops and let it fly...spread it out

I do understand that long term success earns a school more respect, but for always being one of the smallest enrollments in 4A in both the district and the state for the almost 20 years or so Lumberton has had a very respectable program. Another point is, and i am not downgrading anyone's success but how many teams have earned respect getting in the playoffs because of the third playoff spot. Over the last 20 years prior to the rule change a number of Raider teams would have got in if there was a third spot. I am only stating that because maybe we should already have a little respect....

I just hope the city of LUMBERTON shuts down tonite. Every ex-player and LUMBERTONIAN should be there. Our community needs this. We all know that nederland will bring a lot of fans and we need to make sure that our presence is felt. Who cares which is the best team ever, we can argue about that later lets ENJOY THIS MOMENT and hopefully be a part of something SPECIAL.
