  1. Not sure if it was the white pants, or Dillon. But you can rest assure that we want wear the white pants anymore. TD, I am now a believer. I should have listened to you from the start, and maybe we'd be playing tomorrow. LOL ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D Go Big Blue!!!!!!!!
  2. Good Luck to all teams in the Super Bowl. Let's Go WOS, we couldn't get all three trophies, but two is very much in our reach. Play hard, and smart, and we should be alright. Good Luck Coach Moe, and Coach Rod. Bring it home baby!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
  3. Hey Jr1979, I saw your cousin jammin you up after the game for being on the wrong side. That was funny, you didn't even know that her son was on the other team. Without a doubt, if it ain't broke don't fix it. I heard some people in the stands complaining and saying that all they did was this or that, but bottom line is it was our job to stop it, and we didn't. We can not expect for another team to have mercy on us and stop running their stud, when we can't stop him. Dillon is a monster, and I enjoy seeing him play. Everyone talks about his offense, but what impressed me the most was him on defense. He made nearly every single tackle one on one in the open field in that 3rd quarter when the Blue team took momemtum. Not taking anything from the rest of the team, but he definitely was their superman. He and Mandel both. I want to point out another big play that may have gone unnoticed. The play when Beebee came all the way across the field from his corner spot, to stop KJ from the game tying touchdown. KJ had three blockers in front of him against BeeBee, and somehow he still made the tackle. Outstanding hustle from that young man, he must have had a very good coach last year. LOL. Just Joking. ;D ;D ;D Big Play though, as Dillon was out of the picture and BeeBee was the last man to beat.
  4. Thanks for all of the compliments. We knew coming in that this would be a war. We knew that we had to stop Dillon, and block Mandel. We had our moments, but in the end, we did neither of the two consistently. I am very proud of my boys, they went toe to toe with a very good team, and never quit. We will be their to support ya'll next week. Bring home the trophy BLUE. Good gameplan by the coaches of the Blue team, your boys executed well. I have heard all year long about your concerns on the O-Line, well today they were the difference makers. We got no penetration up front, I think that ya'll should be very proud of those guys, because honestly I thought that is were our advantage was. I knew that ya'll had great skilled players, but saw some problems up front that I thought we could exploit. Hats off to the coaches for correcting those problems so quickly. I say it all of the time, as a coach it is your job to make sure that everyone on the team is a better player at the end of the season than they were when they started. I think that both coaching staffs did a good job making sure that happened. These boys learned a lot this year, especially how to play with confidence, and be a good sportsman. That's what it's all about. Don't get me wrong, the wins are fun too, but if you playing the game the right way, and playing hard and smart, then everyones a winner. GOOD LUCK JUNIOR BLUE. Great Game!!!!!!!!!
  5. You know it started out at the game that 1 kid was cussed at, then it became 3, now there were several kids cussed at on that play. Why would anyone cuss at a kid in that situation, it doesn't even make sense. I personally think that the kids are just jumping on the "Oh I was cussed at too" bandwagon, because they are feeding off of their coaches and parents negativity towards our program. As much as you try to make us out to be bad guys, it's not going to work this time. There were 2 STJFL officials on our sideline during the game. One was even the coaches rep from Bridge City. Do you think that they would have let that happen? If all of these kids were back at the 20 yard line getting cussed at, then who in the heck was chasing KJ on that 80 yard touchdown run. You need to tell your kids to play hard until the whistle blows instead of standing around 80 yards from the play. Just saying!!!!!!!!!!! ;D ;D ;D ;D
  6. Thank you for resurfacing New Indian, and I must say that I can respect you for getting on here and not making excuses and taking away from the other team's preparation and execution. This shocked the entire league, and I can honestly say that I never thought I'd see the day when a team is more prepared than a DL team. I guess maybe ya'll looked over them a little bit, it is very easy to do when you just beat them by 30 the week before. Anyway, good season, and tell DL he did a great job, and I was actually rooting for him so that we can possibly get that rematch. I am sure he'll have them in the thick of things next year. New Indian, I actually had thoughts of getting on here and letting you have it, but you manned up, ate your cajun fried crow, and didn't make excuses. Come check out the next round at Dan Hooks Stadium on Dec. 6.
  7. Hey JackBQuick, you are correct we did complete a pass before the half. It was a HB Pass, you know when the RB throws the ball, not the QB. Also, WOS Blue's coaches have not had many chances to see us play this year, mainly because of scheduling. We have played at least three games at different locations this year. When we have played at the same location, their game immediately follows ours so they are usually warming up for their game. We don't scrimmage with them, and has not practiced at the same location for a few weeks now. Don't get me wrong they know all of our kids and their strenghts, but we still have been holding a few plays that were designed just for them. In fact, Vidor team made me a little nervous saturday, and I had to break out one of them. Once again, everyone keeps mentioning some things said about the kids, not sure what you're talking about. I only complimented their team players, it was the coaches whom I thought were out of line.
  8. Great post Dragon. You are right, that is exactly what that pass was, it was a 15 yard pass that the kid broke lose and went about 40 yards. To be honest with you, I had told my offense that they had not completed a pass in the last 3 games, which is sad but true. The call was made to work on a completing one, and not make it 4 games in a row, and also to give my QB a little confidence heading into the next round. We also knew that we were being scouted, so we also want our next opponent to know that they have to at least respect the pass. Oh yeah, we still had timeouts and was about on the 10 yard line after the pass, when we chose to not run another play and just let the clock run out. If we were trying to run up the score, we could have. You know Dragon, I just don't understand some of these guys. If you are whipping my butt, I can not tell you how to whip my butt, it is my job to stop it. You ever heard a boxer tell the other, "Hey man please don't throw hooks, or right jabs, I have a hard time defending them." No, you don't. Stang92 said it best, "It is a lot harder to lose with class than it is to win with class."
  9. You're right VP, and I apologize if you wasn't there. I really thought that you were someone else with that screen name.
  10. That's fine VP 93, I'll take that. The only thing that I said about the 9 and 10 year old boys were that they played good, and fought hard. I said that they were better prepared and looked like a whole different team. It was meant to be a compliment. Not sure why you didn't recognize that, I guess you are still wearing the same glasses that you had on at the game. The point that I was trying to prove is that it is a shame for their coaches to overshadow their efforts, with all of the excuses, and complaining. If you lose, don't let your kids see you making excuses and being a poor sport. Just as when we lost to PNG, I told my boys that we were out coached. I took responsibility for not having them more prepared. I didn't make excuses, and will not make any if we do happen to lose to WOS Blue.
  11. Yeah we threw a pass with 39 seconds to go, so what. When we played ya'll a few weeks back, we ran the ball with a few minutes to go, and your coaches still cried. They went to the meeting and complained and said that we ran a reverse early in the fourth quarter while we were already winning. The real problem is that you guys need to either win, or learn to wear a loss a little better. Ya'll are the biggest group of sore losers that I have ever seen. The part about the kids being cursed at is absolutely ridiculous. You were not on our side of the field, I was, and that is not true. Those kids probably said that because they hear ya'll complaining and making excuses from the time the ball is kicked off. You want to talk about class, how about your team coming up to the line and growling and hollering every play until the ref asked them to please stop. Do you know that is called taunting? Or how about when we went to shake hands, half of your kids didn't shake hands and even one of your coaches. Yeah that's a lot of class. It is a shame too, because overall your team played well, they were very physical, and we needed a game like this. My kids came to the sideline and complained about what your kids were calling them all day long, and about your kids grabbing their facemasks as well, but you don't hear me crying about it. Ask anyone on our sideline what I tell my boys when they complain about these things. I tell them to let the refs handle it, and the way to get them back is to play physical and beat them on the scoreboard. I tell them they can't hold you are grab you if they are on their backs. That's what we teach over hear. Truth of the matter is, these kids are 9 and 10 years old, and sometimes they may retaliate, but I am the first one too snatch their butts out of the game when they do. We both agree that the refs were terrible, and I commend Paul and the rest of the Vidor staff for having their team better prepared this time around. They looked like a whole different team. Good job. Just learn to wear a loss a little better, and quit wining and making excuses, it becomes contagious and is a bad example for your boys. Yeah we threw a pass, I bet you would have enjoyed the pass a little more if your corner had picked it off and ran it back for a TD, huh. Would that had been better? Well, it didn't happen, so quit crying Orangeblood!!!!!!!!!! If the ya'll hadn't wined all game, trust me that call would not have been made, but since you want to cry, that was a little something for you to cry about. Now you have a legitimate gripe. Give me a break!!!!
  12. I left very impressed with #8 Kevin Robinson. He is listed @ 5'7" 160 lbs, and plays strong side end like a monster, and you know that the rule of thumb is to take 10 lbs. and 2" off of whatever the rosters has. He plays textbook football, and with a lot of heart. My son is 10 years old and plays the same position for his little league team. He is also tiny, and I kept telling him, watch #8, that is how you play the DE son. One play he took on two blockers, and still made the tackle for a loss on the QB. This young man is BEAST, he leads the team in tackles from the defensive end spot, how often does that happen?
  13. The Tezeno hit was the biggest hit hands down, with Tony Ward's hit a close second.
  14. Yes Dragon, I know it doesn't seem right, but Kountze's two losses were early in the season and didn't count. They are undefeated in district and became district champs on saturday. The three district champs are the top three seeds, no matter the overall record. PNG, WOS White, and Kountze won the three districts. WOS Blue was the highest rated team after the district champs, so they are the #4 seed. If all the favorites win, there are some very good second round matchups with Kountze vs. PNG White, and the two WOS teams squaring off at home. Should be some good football played at our stadium all day long, since all of the second round matchups are at Hooks Stadium. WOS varsity hadn't loss in that stadium in forever. It is a shame that one of us will have to eliminate the other.
  15. Not sure how we (WOS White) became the #1 seed, as I assumed that PNG would be #1 as well. It was explained to me that the nondistrict games didn't hold any weight, so that left us both undefeated in our district with PNG playing 1 less game due to having a bye. It is confusing to us as well Indian, but if it did come down to points given up, then WOS Junior White didn't give up a single point in district. You are right, it does make you wonder. Before the games on Saturday, we were told that WOS Blue was #1, PNG #2, and WOS White #3, and that the WOS teams will face each other in the second round. As it turned out with WOS Blue's loss, somehow we ended up #1, PNG#2, Kountze (won district) #3, and WOS Blue #4, but yet we are told that the WOS teams still play each other in the second round. Only one team loss, how did so much change. Not sure how we leap frogged PNG (this is not the BCS), and not sure how it changed from #1 and #3 meeting in round 2 to #1 and #4 now meeting in round two, or wait if we were ahead of PNG already then that would have made #1 and #2 meeting in round two, when have you ever seen that. Makes me think that no matter the outcomes, they were set on making the WOS teams eliminate each other by matching them in the same bracket. I may be wrong in my assumption, but like you said, "it makes you wonder". I guess it wouldn't have been a good showing for the league, if both WOS teams played for the superbowl, since we are already going to win PeeWee and Senior.
  16. Good quote dragon :D . I did hear that it was a guy from Beaumont though. I think last year it was a guy from Beaumont as well, and Exxon Mobil employee if I remember correctly. We are going to have quit letting them Beaumont folks win our raffles. Gas is high in Orange too.
  17. I wouldnt get too excited...png purple has only scored three td's all year. very young team.... out of 17 kids on the team 15 are returners to this team next year...all but 3 has never played tackle football before...so 54-0 on this team learning is not a real big deal. Do it next year with this lil team returning 15 kids...then get excited. Don't be mad with WOS people, you should be upset with your own league officials. You see that is simply the result of stacking one team. Let's see, one team is undefeated and loaded with experience, while the other has not won, and has only scored three touchdowns the entire year. Not to mention only three players with experience. I have a question, "How do you get a coach to buy in own this"? Your quote really said a lot. Thanks Cherokee!!!!
  18. I'm very proud of WOS Senior White. With all they have been through this year, with injuries and players quitting, I am happy to see them finally putting it together. I think that a win next week will get them in the playoffs. Keep the momentum going. I think that all WOS fans should be in attendance to root this group on for this final push. We really need this win so that all of our teams can get in the playoffs, as far as I know all of the other teams has already clinched. This team lost an absolute stud linebacker and runningback before the season even started. He moved to Houston. They also lost their best runningback and possibly the fastest kid in the Senior division to a knee injury about five weeks ago. They have had terrible luck, but they stuck with it and worked hard and now have a chance to get in the playoffs. I am happy for them and their coaches.
  19. No one was taking anything away from the kids on the blue team, some of them have come a long way. I just think that to keep saying that they wasn't supposed to be there is a lame attempt to get some of that "Self Praise" that you mentioned for the coaches. Don't get me wrong they have done a good job, but they did not turn water into wine. They had just as many studs as everyone else. Let me ask you a question though? Why are you so partial to the blue team? The answer to that question is, the President of the league coaches the Blue Team, and the VP or whatever your title is has a kid playing on the blue team. Now that clears things up for everyone on why some people get the good end of the deal and some don't. You see, your team is never on the short end of the stick, so you can not begin to understand the frustration from the coaches of the white teams. Not questioning anybody's character, because it is human nature to be partial towards your own, but I repeat we would like it to be more fair across the board, that's all. I think the main problem is that some people wear too many hats..... Smart people?
  20. I agree with you from a football standpoint only, because in every other sport this is one of the strongest districts in the state, such as baseball, and basketball. I did enjoy the football season a little better before the last reallignment, when we still had Jasper and Kirbyville. I am a huge Mustang fan, but I will be honest and admit that I have not been up for going watch these lopsided games on Friday nights.
  21. Big Worm, Big Perm, whatever your name is. Understand this, their is a pecking order in everything else we do, so yes Junior White would have gave way to the Senior team to play on the BIG field. Last year when the Seniors got everthing and people complained, ya'll answer to everything was oh they are like varsity, and they have paid their dues. But this year it's a whole different story. Things are definitely looking clearer to me right now. We are not trying to divide and conquer the Lil Mustangs, just want some fairness across the board. Smart People?
  22. Schedules didn't change, just were pushed back.
  23. What a shame, it seems as though the schedule makers were a little bit partial to the blue teams, huh. ;) Like last week, when the Senior white team had to play on the smaller auxillary flag field, to give way to the Junior Blue team to play on the main field. Doesn't make a lot of sense to me, but I guess somewhere in America the JV team gets special privaleges over Varsity, just didn't think it was here. I feel your pain 92.
  24. I agree with you TD, Dragon, and 92. We are all Mustangs, and that alone makes us all winners. LOL Let's keep things in perspective and stay focused on our ultimate goal (Both of us in the Super Bowl). I personally think that white had the tougher schedule, but I also think that the blue team has been way more impressive on the offensive side of the ball. Hats off to Coach Rod!!!! Trust me I am not overlooking PNG White or any other team, just discussing the teams that I am more familiar with. Although, I am very familiar with PNG white, as they are the only blemish on our record. Kind of wanna rematch with them, it is always very competitive, and hopefully we will be at full strength next time.
