Liberty is still Liberty.
@89Falcon what is that suppose to mean? Huffman only beat us twice out of proably 20 times in school history. Huffman wasn't even all that good last year. From what I'm hearing we changed up or defense against yall last year, and was  trying to run our best player at Tailback instead of the slot receiver. So coaching has alot to do wtih the panthers being 9-1 last year instead of 7-3

 9. I say move the Girls and Boys Basketball Tournament to the Dallas-Fort Worth Area. The metro plex is growing down there, and I'm pretty sure they got more nicer venues, and better arena's.
Personally I think we should fire Deel and hire Texasminuteman as our new head coach maybe then we will be able to come within 100 points of the all mighty Huffman Falcons.
Doubt it. Yall need more than a new coach ;)
Yeah, maybe fire Orr and hire ex-panther as our new OC, that might be the icing on the cake to put us in the same ball park as the Falcons.
I like Silsbee in this game. I think the Tigers speed, athleticism, and man-to-man pressure defense will be too much for Splendora. Only team that Splendora has played this year that could come close to comparing to Silsbee's speed is Coldspring and Splendora lost both those games, 56-41 and 61-31. I have seen Coldspring play, they are a little bigger than Silsbee but are not as fast. Splendora does not tend to handle man defense that well. I got Silsbee by 15+.
not so fast. Jason Vela Splendora head coach is very familiar with upsetting 21-3A oppents. in the season of 2005-2006 Splendora beat Hardin-Jefferson and following that next season of 2006-2007 the beat West Orange Stark by a buzzer beater. I say Splendora control the tempo slow it down in the half court and beat Silsbee 65-60 :P
It is incredibly hard to slow it down against Silsbee's in your face defense.  When a defender over plays you going for the steal, the last thing your instincts tell you is to just stay slow and let him catch up with you, and set himself up for another steal attempt. This often leads a team into a running game, which falls right into Silsbee's lap.
not if Fouls come. Splendora will be in the bonus in the 1st quarter
So being in the playoffs 11 times out of 13 years and winning District Championships 2003 and 2004 is a program that is in the toliet???? ummmmm not accurate at all. Slack is a good coach, but why didn't they hire Douglas or Taylor or even Haynes at one time? He got the job, because of the old Superintendent just very much luck
In a 4 team 1A district that still takes 3 teams like Liberty's SEVEN team district, I would hope you could make the playoffs 13/13 years. Liberty has the largest district in the state (before the new realignment) and didn't get in with a 7-3 record, 5 points to Cleveland kept them out of it, they had a good year, the team looked good they just didn't finish, which I will blame on play calling and injuries in that one game. If Liberty would have won they would have been 8-2 and done in the first round and no one would be complaining because the team performed well and WOS would have been too much for them. IMO injuries and offensive play calling lost the Clevleand game, and Huffman outplayed them on that given night, and with the injury to Liberty's starting safety replaced him with a 5ft5 130 pount freshman against Huffman was a problem being that they are a pass first offense.
I'm talking about Liberty program was great before Deel arrived not HD. Liberty.
 19. I'll end my comments on this note. If Liberty doens't make the playoffs we will be looking for a new coach LP6 yes He is on the hot seat
Acually Coach Slack wouldn't get laughed at. He will do a way better job than Shane Deel, He actually has playing experience from my understanding. Unlike Deel who is 5'2 and who is more concerned about soocer than worring about the whole program. Slack from my understanding was All-State at Hull-Dasietta in Football, Basketball, and Track and Field. Also heard a legend that he could dunk too back in his playing days. All the coaches of the district 22-3A and Liberty alumni are flattered at Shane Deel's results, and how he only made the playoffs 1year out of 4, and trust me me Slack would have his best athletes at every postion. So having 6"6 at a Tight End, and line up a faster, accurate, more posed Quarterback and running the triple option mixing it up with the pass and run ( which Deel doens't know how to utilize in the Shotgun Spread) will be a better fit for Liberty. Wish the school board members are who ever is in charge in hiring the AD/Head Football Coach will change things it's 2012 not 1970. We want Wins, District Championships, Deep Playoff runs, more attendance, more school spirt, and the last and most important thing is teach the young student athletes how to survive in the real world and show them that you can make it in life after football ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D
Again, how right you are!!!Couldnt said it better myself!! OH!!! Wait a minute!!!I thought Deel was 4'9"  :o
Yeah and Chris Johnson is an NFL running back but I promise you he couldn't coach a football team. There's A lot of coaches with no playing experience out there who do a fine job, but that's not the case since Deel does have playing experience so why don't you get you'r facts straight before you accuse someone of having no experience.
lmao yeah not good enough coaching experience

Great girls coach over 300 career wins unique style I won't spoil it for you if you plan on attending Friday all I will say he is fun to watch. His style didn't translate well with the boys this year as he was head boys and girls head coach this year. But he has done well with the girls this year and last they won district last year and made it to the second round
That's awesome.
