Wow. Things not going exactly as planned.  Even the newton nose guard has a TD in the first half.  I think our band is better tonight though.  Ouch.

Freeman was the MVP in the District for Baseball in 86...I still run into him a couple times a year.  If i recall you had one of the best Batting Averages in 87. On the football side..  John Evans and I shared the all-district LB status.  I think SFA beat us 40-0 that year.  We lost about 4 lineman in that game and Ford ran wild.  Didn't Evans commit to Notre Dame but end up somewhere else?

SFA running back 86?  Hhhhmm. Was that Griggie or something like that.

I'm a little surprised that so many are giving EC the edge. I think EC has had their letdown game this year.  I think Newton maybe due for one.  This game has playoff atmosphere all over it. Newton has to play well to get the monkey off their back in this district not having a district title yet. Pressure is all on Newton playing at home needing to fill expectations.  They certainly have the talent but I think the poor tackling shows back up and costs them this game by two TD's.  JMO. Question for EC is can they pass the ball with consistency because Newton will be quick to the QB.  35-21 EC

Pretty much.  He ran it in.  Caught a pass ran it in.  Took a kickoff and ran it in.  Came out of the concession stand and ran it in and played in the band and ran it in.  Ok the last two aren't true.  But he pretty much had his way on all other aspects.
