Funny how it's always the team that lost to West Hardin is "Weak or Terrible".  :o  Could be that West Hardin has some really good talent & the coaching staff is putting together game plans that maximize their players abilities.  Sooooo.... what will everyone say next Saturday if the Oilers beat the Lions? I'm going to give Hardin credit where due.  They had a couple of drives where they got close to the endzone, but the Oiler defense shut them down.  The Hornets do have some talented players, I just think the Oiler speed was too much to overcome for them.
Don't sugar coat it the Hornets are TERRIBLE!  West Hardin does look pretty good and wish them, luck in district beat the CATS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

 3.
Haynes and Hardin hasnt tried to develop anyone in the earlier grades.  I remember a few years ago their varsity was loaded and the JV and JH teams were really down.....sooner or later if you are down you have to think about trying to develop what you have if you know you are not going to be very good down the road.  SOME coaches are what I like to call "talent jumpers".  They coach up the good ones and forget the rest and leave.  I get coaches want to get better jobs down the road but you have to coachem all while you are there. Just an opinion. As a coach you have to try to coach them all!
EXACTLY GREAT POST

Such a nice man .. comes off really gruff but loves the kids !!!
Coached my oldest, do believe he is the reason he's playing college ball now.  Gets them strong and fast with discipline.

La marque has 996 students. So does the difference in enrollment make a substantial difference on the 3A level and lower?
So why are y'all playing Hardin with numbers barely in the 300's and boasting when you ran over them, not impressive for a school size of Liberty to beat Hardin but Very Impressive when little Hardin blew y'all out of the stadium.
 9.
Well... I am looking forward to H-D playing a game without fumbling 6 times. H-D has the Coaches and athletes to have a good year. If H-D can solve it's turnover issues, the Bobcats will once again make the playoffs. Marberry, Drake, Edmondson, Hickman, Taylor and Downs are some of the best athletes in the district. Pulling for the CATS H-D 28 Iola 14

I'm blessed. You? I agree execution and discipline.
Man don't blame the coach for a bad performance on your team.  Coach Slack is a class act.
 12.
Both teams coming off a loss in week 0, who rebounds and gets that first win this week?
Believe I'll take the Horns in this one by 1 touchdown.  Hardin winless for the season possibly West Hardin only chance.
 13.
I believe Liberty wins this one by 3 scores. Hardin has a good passing attack that picked H-D apart. The offensive scheme that Haynes runs is awesome. Hardin will score on Liberty via the air a few times. Problem is... Hardin is very small and young, also the Hornet defense can't stop the run. Liberty will have size in the trenches over Hardin. Neither teams are any good, neither makes the playoffs this year. But... Liberty wins this game 42-21. If they run at Hardin?
I agree Hardin unable to stop the run, could get ugly.  If Hardin jumps out front early could be long night for Liberty, if not very long night for Hardin.

H-D has had hundreds of awesome athletes that could have played for Eastern Dakota St. or where ever Stelly plays. Truth HD HAD SOME STUDS IN THE 80'Sof the matter is, if you make good grades and are a serious worker in the weight room, you can play college football. Maybe not D-1, but you can play at an Eastern Alaska St. There just is not that many of those kids out there, Stelly is one. Good post
The key word is "could have".  I am sure you and your boys will continue to tell yourselfs that while your standing around the campfire telling old has been stories.  The fact of the matter is to play college football you must have talent, heart, and want.  If a kid does not have a combination of all three forget making it in college, just ask all the kids that are back after one year.  I enjoy the history of Hull Daisetta football, and did not attend either school mentioned.  Just remember you don't have to downgrade anyone elses talent to bolster the Bobcats accomplishments.
