  1. Kyle Cox-University of Louisiana (Class of 2007) Full scholarship-no walk-on. The Scholarship to Navy is a ROTC scholarship and I have never heard of the University of Louisiana!! If the walk-on is put on scholarship then that would be mentionable, if not then they are just scout team players or tackling dummies that will never see the field.
  2. Please name all your D-1 players since Price has been in charge. Walk-ons don't count.
  3. Griff I don't know where you get your info. , but again you are dead wrong Myself and BH-89 Have played football unlike yourself! Just keep preaching on the radio and leave the discussions to us ;D You speak of having an inflated opinion of your team while you think WOS is going to state every year when in reality they can't get out of the region and probably never will ;D You know NOTHING about BH all someone had to do is read your last post! Come on now Barbers Hillbilly be a good sport and stick to bashing your own team, not the Mustangs. You should be praising Price for what he has done with so little talent. How many D-1 players has BH had come through in the Price era? As a matter of fact, how many college players at any level have been through in the Price era? Despite the lack of superior talent, he continues to win year in and year out. A word to the wise, be careful what you wish for because you may actually get it!! Oh, by the way WOS 4AAAA Region Champs in 2000 and 3AAA Region Champs in 2005!!
  4. We miss all the McCarter soundbites from years past the most hear in Mustagnland. Good Luck Coach!!
  5. Congrats to all our locals players!! I think a little bit of justice was done for P. Rhodes making this all state team, after getting snubbed by the last team.
  6. So let me get this straight, you are stating that you know for a fact that the two incidents that you pointed out that the WOS athletes were involved in they started. How do you know? Where you at the Dayton game? No, you read that info on this message board!! Now Silsbee has been into two altercations in less that four days and they were both started by HJ and WOS. Now it could be that everyone is picking on poor little Silsbee......or maybe.......well you decide! What???? This was at WOS #1...........so why should Silsbee administration be ashamed.........the COACH, not UIL suspended the players in question, what else should he do.........WOS fans........not Silsbee's were on the floor fighting, WOS throwing balls at Silsbee players...........and yes the 2 that got suspensions probably deserve it........but then read the article above..........NO WOS PLAYERS SUSPENDED AT THIS TIME! You said you needed facts, great, but wait until you get them before making comments like you did about Silsbee being ashamed of themselves. Here are some more facts: WOS - parent on the floor last year at Silsbee during Girls game, yelling and screaming after a foul. WOS - parent (fan) ejected at Evadale -v- Silsbee in Girls playoff last year. WOS - Fighting in FB -v- Dayton this year WOS - Fighting -v- Silsbee in boys BB this year (and these are just the ones "I" know about!) Now it could be that everyone is just picking on poor little WOS.........or maybe........well you decide! Tiger12 now would be a good time to remove that large foot from your mouth!! Lets see here: Silsbee - Players Fighting -v- WOS boys in BB LAST WEEK!! Silsbee - Players Fighting -v- HJ boys in BB THIS WEEK!! (and these are just the ones "I" know about!) Sounds like a little of the pot calling the kettle black to me!! Call it what you want.......My Facts were of incidences STARTED by WOS.......not those they were involved in......true enough it doesn't look good for Silsbee.......however, from video of WOS, and being present -v- HJ..........Silsbee only retaliated (not condoning this) to what players from WOS and HJ did to them....... No foot to remove........Silsbee did fight (retaliate) which is wrong by any measures.......but they were not the ones that threw a BB into the back of another player, nor were they the ones that were swinging elbows at anyone and everyone, well after the play was over. :-\ With all of that said, I will also agree with with what another poster said earlier.......it all could have been avoided had the game been controled by the officiating.......they (both teams) were allowed to get a little out of control towards the end of that game.

  8. Also Jason Woods and several other standouts on that team!!
  9. Well to answer this question, actually none!  We have only played Lamarque 4 times and have only scored 13 points at the most in one game.  That was in 1997 and that was before this current oc.  However, in 2000 Coach T completely and totally shut down Lamarque's offense and we won the game 10-6.  So I guess that is about correct the current oc averages about 10 to 13 points a game once we get past the first round of the playoffs.  All our Defense has to do is hold the opponents to singe digit scoring and we will win the game.  I can't believe we didn't think of this before.  The real problem here is Coach T, giving up 9 or 10 points a game.  GIVE ME A BREAK!!!!!  You are reaching for something that is not there, and living up to your screen name which is wosHIGH.  You would have to be smoking to believe that nonsense!!  Here is a question back atcha wosHIGH, who is the only oc in WOS history to miss the playoffs 4 times?
  10. In the January edition of Horns Illustrated, former WOS standout Deon Beasley has a three page article about his current success at Texas. I was just wondering if anyone had seen this article. I got mine at Wally World in BMT, but I know they sale them at Kroger's as well. Congrats to Deon and all other current SETX collegiate athletes!!
  11. I might have been misinformed but doesnt the dc call the defensive plays and the oc call the offensive plays. Please stop with the excuses!! There have been several different assistant coaches work with this oc, and the results are the same. No qb sneak vs. ozen in 2002 and no qb sneak vs. giddings in 2006. I dont think any of the coaches on the offense were on both staffs except the oc. Now who do you think is calling these plays?
  12. I think our OC would be a perfect fit. He is the best coach WOS has ever had, just ask td.
  13. Easy skippy, didn't mean to get you worked up here on a thursday morning. Only time will tell on what the future holds for the Stangs, and I doubt he would show me the door, I know him well!!
  14. No Skippy, the Stangs definately don't need to be turned around, but we do need help on the offensive side of the ball to finish the deal!! Thanks for your as always, intelligent input 77!!
  15. Thanks for the information, I was not sure if there was any truth to the rumor. I hope he will be back in the Blue & Silver as well!!!
  16. Just got off the phone with a guy that speaks with Toby on a regular basis and he said that Toby has taken the position of Offensive Coordinator at Huntsville H.S. Has anybody heard this or can anybody confirm this?
  17. Agsrwe, I do not often agree with you, however, you are correct. The sad thing is, that it has happened for years. I can remember in 2005 when Kenneth Beasley was our QB, the Dave Cambell's All State team had him as the 3AAA Player of the Year, and the AP didn't have him as anything, not even honorable mention. It is a very political system, and I don't see it changing anytime soon. Clearly Rhodes was All State caliber and I was shocked on the Defensive Player of the Year in 4AAAA as well, not taking anything away from DJ, but I was shocked.
  18. I think Randy Crouch would be a great head coach at LCM. He was the offensive coordinator there during the early to mid 90's when LCM was making there playoff runs. I believe he was in the top 3 for the job last time!!
  19. Seems to me like hillboy can't take what he was trying to dish out. If you don't like it when we get personal with yours, don't get personal with ours. Stick with Lumberton, yalls record speaks for itsself.
  20. Tim, Depauldrick, and Ronnie are all Mustangs added to a long list of Mustangs to become All-Staters over the last 15 years. 1992 - Gary Haliburton OL, Kendall Cleveland RB 1993 - Warring Vital LB, Kendall Cleveland RB (Parade All-American) 1995 - Chris Cole WR, T.J. Locks DL, Eric Anderson QB, Toby Foreman DB and PR 1997 - Roy Locks DL, Charles Sias DL 1999 - Gayron Allen LB 2000 - Paul Thomas DE, Micheal Ledet S, Jermaine Hope CB, Jeff Thibedeaux CB, Donald Paul OL 2001 - Eric Enard WR 2003 - Kerry Franks Jr. RB 2005 - Kenneth Beasley QB(Parade All-American),Jacoby Franks WR,Ladarius White WR,Earl Thomas DB 2006 - Earl Thomas WR 2007 - Tim Matherne OL, Ronnie Dennis WR, Depauldrick Garrett RB
  21. I believe Nederland usually hosts a meet towards the end of Feb.
  22. Give me some predictions for WOS on the 2008 season? What changes do you think will be made and what do yall think will be the outcome?
  23. As I was watching the game in the second half, I did not even realize that we did not pick up a first down in the half. I know we had the ball in bad field position twice in the second half, but didn't we start one time in the second half around the forty? I have been going to WOS games for about 25 years and I don't think I have ever seen the stangs not pick up a first in the entire half. That is ashame because the defensive staff seemed to have lavega completely shut down most of the game. I hate to say it but it may be time to try something new on offense. Good Luck in 2008 Stangs and congrats in 2007!!
  24. 1999 was a crazy year, we beat the State Runner-Up and then didn't make the playoffs. The same thing happened in 2003, we beat Bay City by two touchdowns and they lost in the state championship game, and we didn't make the playoffs. The fact that we have beaten beaten the 4A district champion that many years in a row is a very wierd stat.
