I played football at WOS, as well as sports beyond the high school level. I can assure you I was not in the band. What about you? Did you go through the WOS FOOTBALL PROGRAM? I don't think so, you are just another outsider that thinks he knows whats going on at WOS. Shouldn't you be getting back to your job cleaning motel 6 with that dust buster!! Hey agsrwe, just got thru watching the aggies in there bowl game and I must say you seem to be a big fan of the WOS oc and his playcalling, so I know you have got to be a big fan of the aggie playcalling. Running backwards on 4th and one looked real familier. I guess u r real dissapointed to see this guy get fired, but you know that's what happens when you make calls like that. HINT,HINT,HINT..... I feel bad for my kinfolk KJ that he has had to endure this much bad coaching for SO LONG!! Maybe he will be done justice at the next level!!!

The fact still remains that if the Stangs do not make a change on the offensive side of the ball, then there will be a 2nd or 3rd round loss every year. Now some people may think that is OK, but I do not think that the TRUE MUSTANGS will accept this. We have as much talent as most 4A teams, we beat Dayton who won the 4A region, however every year the coaching gets us on the offensive side of the ball. It will NEVER be accepted for a WOS OFFENSE to have such a poor plan on offense that we are held without a first down in any game, but especially the third round of the playoffs. Ok this is a well thought out post, and everybody is entitled to an opinion, even if that opinion is wrong. "Bringing back one guy is not going to make or break a program." WOS without CORNEL THOMPSON for three years = NO PLAYOFFS. After bringing back ONE GUY (CORNEL THOMPSON) that doesn't make or break the program = 42-7 overall record, 4 district titles, and 1 regional title. There is not much validity to your ONE GUY doesn't make or break theory. You are just another outsider that doesn't know what goes on in MUSTANG LAND, but thanks for your opinion. This is my point exactly 07194. WOS should be just as successful as the programs that you named, but WE ARE NOT. Since 2000, Katy (2) State Titles, Tatum (2) State Titles, Southlake Carrol (3) State Titles, Gilmer (2) State Titles, WOS (0) State Titles. If I was a fan at one of these places I wouldn't complain either, there ENTIRE staff is getting it done. I don't see how enrollment is a factor as long as we are in our proper classification. When we dropped to 4A, our enrollment was dropping, and we fared pretty good then. That is an EXCUSE and that has been happening alot over the last several years. What plays do we want to run? We would like to run some plays that would at least produce a first down. I am not sure exactly how the school did that he went to, I know they lost in the playoffs, but I can assure that the school he went to does not even come close to having the tradition that this one does. As a matter of fact there are only about 4 or 5 other schools in the state that do. The excuses are getting old, and it is hard to imagine that year in and year out we will allow ourselves to get outcoached on the offensive side of the ball and lose to teams that we shouldn't. Now I have tried to behave myself over the last month, but since my expertize is being requested, I will go ahead and spread my knowledge. I have heard like many others that there will be some changes at the corral before the 2008 season. Hopefully these are the correct changes. I think most of us agree that changes are LONG overdue, but we will just have to wait and see. My assesment of the la vega game is that they were a very athletic team and our DEFENSE led by CORNEL THOMPSON completely shut them down most of the night. Offensively, the usual against an athletic playoff team. We look pretty good in the first half, but I knew something was up whenever I saw the BREAD TRUCK pull up to the WOS side of the press box just before the second half started. Just like Giddings in 2006, we were at least TWO TD'S better than levega. Oh well another year, another BREAD TRUCK!! THANK GOD FOR CORNEL THOMPSON OR THESE GAMES WOULDN'T BE CLOSE!!!

We didn't make it in 99,01,02, or 03. 3A has been good to us. We have had success against 4A schools since moving down, but it is alot easier when we don't have to play them week in and week out. The same thing happened when we were close to 4A #'s and still in 5A. Had we a dropped down to 4A in 85, we would have won THREE in a row!!!

I think Newton used to always have to play crockett in the playoffs, back in the 80's, but I have never heard of lavega.

What was Giddings ranked last year when we played them? I thought they were #1. Wasn't McKinney ranked #1 when we beat them?

Isn't it funny that takes an EX-MUSTANG to get yall going?

I spoke with someone yesterday that saw giddings play friday, and said they do not look as good as last year. I don't care who petitioned who, unless we have a player that is not eligible, we will be playing in the third round.

We should win by 3 TD's if they don't have their QB. I did not make it to the coldsprings game, but the score was about like I expected. I was however surprised about the giddings and sealy score, until I read that the qb had gotten hurt. If sealy can play them that close without him, then we should be just fine.

I was actually not thinking of anybody specific mr. STD, but if the shoe fits then put it on. Kicker who needs a stick for that horse, as bad as STD's eyes are he may shoot the horse this weekend, mistaking it for a deer ofcourse. Good luck this weekend STANGS and STD.

Oh I forgot, the sensitive posters on here get upset very easily. Some of you people were on here yesterday were accusing the coach at orangefield of being a liar and a cheat. All I do is complain from time to time about playcalling and get attacked by you 3 or 4 people.

Im not sure why the stangs would be nerved up for this one. We have the best "D" around, and the two plays our offense runs works against the 3A teams around here.

Since offense sells tickets, is this why the attendence is down at the WOS games?

I don't know alot about those teams, but going by what people write on here, I'm taking coldsprings.

It would be the same thing in 2A. They would be beaten by Newton and somebody else yearly and finigh about third in the district, but they would be the WORLD CHAMPIONS at making invalid gaurantees.

My upset of the week is the Dayton Broncos over Nederland 31-21.

I expected central to have a little better year than what they have had so for this year. I think they may have had some injuries.

What is funny to me is I get ripped on here by people like chain for questioning playcalling, and that same person or group of people are questioning whether or not a man is a liar and a cheat. Tell me how SHOCKED are some of you at that?
