  5. I’ve forgotten to submit two weeks this year. Every year I tell myself, “don’t do the picks, you’ll just forget to do them.” And … here we are.
  6. Today is absolutely a playoff game. If Lc loses, their only remaining game against a playoff contender is Huntsville. That’s a steep, narrow hill to climb. Nederland has opportunities remaining against Huntsville, PNg, and Montgomery - None of them are unbeatable, but as of right this second LC looks like their best chance. For Lc tonight is “probably” their last chance. That’s why I’ll be in Nederland tonight - it’s the most interesting game in the district.
  7. MaxPreps got the score backwards. Says Porter won.
  8. The number 21 isn’t a ranking. It’s an order in the list of teams to vote on.
  9. It’s going to hurt them against Huntsville.
  10. A chance to vote in a national “best rivalry” poll. Mid County Madness is currently in the lead. Link below, and scroll to the bottom of the article for the poll. [Hidden Content]
  11. It’s PNG’s turn to meet the new school. Indians will be heavily favored, but WF’s been playing hard. I expect PNG wins by several scores, but it will be a ramp up in competence and competition after Splendora. Hopefully this works as a good tune up prior to MCM.
  12. My gut says LC, but I’ve never been less confident about a pick. LC is fast and big. It’s going to be a challenge containing their explosive offense. LC’s receivers know how to get open, and Eli Marcos is one of the best high school qbs around. On the other hand, Nederland should be able to move the ball. The way LC does their defense you basically only have to make one guy miss. Nederland’s offense seems to be coming together. And, Nederland has been playing pretty good defense. Emotions might play a factor. The way the district is looking as of this moment, this is basically a playoff game. How will the two teams handle the big moment?
  13. !!score: 14/57/F PNG kneeling. Ball game.
  14. !!score: 7/43/H Png tried for about a 40 yard field goal. Snap looked a little shaky. Short.
  15. !!score: 7/43/2 deep pass td for Splendora
  16. !!score: 0/36/1 correction
  17. !!score: 0/29/1 1:30 left in 1st
  18. Splendora’s severely overmatched. We’ll have backups in soon
  19. !!score: 0/22/1 png gets safety on the punt 8:31 left in the 1st. PNG about to run their second offense play
