  1. LP’s play calling is really impressive. They’ve been studying us
  2. Good png drive. !!score:28/42/3
  3. PNG has to stop arm tackling . It’s so uncharacteristic . That Rb probably squats 350. Hand grabs aren’t going to do it.
  4. LP tries onside kick. PNG ball
  5. !!score:21/35/3 That Rb is a problem
  6. Pick 6 for png. !!score:35/14/3
  7. I was surprised he ran it . But I respect the gamble. We’ve made a lot of tackling mistakes and pursuit miscues tonight, so it’s not unreasonable to try to make something happen.
  8. I don’t know why PnG thinks 2nd and 3 is passing territory. It’s “just run the ball and get another first down” territory.
  9. La Porte is doing a lot right. I’m loving their run game. Just wish we would stop it. Tackling is poor tonight. !!score:14/14/2
  10. Fumble LP, PnG ball on their 24
  11. !!score:7/7/1 LP is well coached. Big defensive front. And, PnG’s getting exposed on outside coverage. On LP’s scoring drive the outside flat was left wide open for them. This is going to be a really good game for us going into district
  12. Hopefully they can get healthy in time for district.
  13. The defense looks lights out. And, I think the offense will come together. They’re getting great “do your job even when you’re getting beaten” reps against talented defenses.
  14. Klein Oak was astonishingly poorly coached, but they had several D1 players and a frankly enormous o-line, so I think we got some good experience out of the game despite how utterly awful their coaching and preparation was. That exact same team could beat us today with an even slightly better coach. Beaumont United doesn’t do much right, if anything, at the moment. It was at best a tune-up game. La Porte is an entirely different animal. I don’t think anyone seriously thinks they’re just going to roll over. If our tackling, clock management, and play calling isn’t stellar the Bulldogs will make us pay for it in our own stadium.
  15. Someone can correct me, but I thought it was financial mismanagement driving off two stellar coaches in a row
  16. 1. Atascocita 2. Goose Creek Memorial 3. North Shore 4. Deer Park 5. Baytown Lee 6. Galveston Ball 7. FB Hightower 8. Kingwood Park 9. Cedar Park 10. Montgomery 11. Hardin-Jefferson 12. East Chambers 13. Jasper 14. Hamshire-Fannett 15. Nederland 16. Waco La Vega 17. Orangefield 18. Diboll 19. Fairfield 20. Tatum 21. Warren 22. San Augustine 23. Waskom 24. Deweyville 25. Chester
  17. Here’s some history trivia: PNG and La Porte have played only once, in 1977. PNG won 34-13. I’ve had this one circled since the schedule released. The first two games gave us the chance to line up against size and speed, but didn’t offer much, if anything, by way of discipline, game plan, or execution. LP has size, speed, and good coaching. We need to go against a team willing to run it right down our throat who knows how to do it. I think we’ll be able to able to move the ball and their offense is going to show our weaknesses, especially around the edge. We’ve got a better defense and we’re at home. PNG by 10.
  18. Let’s get it started
  19. Good work Nederland! Messed up my pickems
  20. !!score:45/7/4 png recovers fumble after BU completed pass, gets field goal
  21. !!score:35/0/2 touchdown pass from Bailey
  22. BU might have negative yards so far
