Good article. Vidor is luck to have Matthews as AD. All programs have benefited from him being there. I know the football team is down, but hang in there. Do you really want to go back to the revolving door at head coach?

I agree with you Pirate68. Vidor would benefit with a little more imagination in their play calling. They don't have the size to play smash-mouth football. They need to spread the defense out and they will open things up. 42-wham is not working!

Yes, frustration came get the best of people. But I don't think this is the right place to be venting off. I agree, therer are things that can be done better. I just think we should stick to discussing the x's and o's of the game and leave the bashing to the players on the field.

These types of people aren't the kind to show their faces. They are the first to bash and the first ones to storm the field when things are going good. If you call yourself a fan, then shut-up and support the team. This is not the time nor the place for your negative remarks.

This is typical. It easy to sit in your home and run down people. If your unhappy with the direction of the program, go to the school board and voice your concerns. If your this fed up, speak up. Sitting in your home and coming on a message board and calling for people's jobs, show's your a coward. I'm sure this board was not meant to be a place for bashing coaches and players. These kids play the game for the game. These coaches put in long hours and more time than most know. And they do earn their salary. Yes, things could be better and things could be done different. It easy to sit in the stands and coach.

I'm not going to call for anyone's job. It's easy to sit in the stands forty feet up and see problems, it's another thing to be on the sideline. These coaches put in long hours and dedication, that most people wouldn't give to their own families. You have up years and down years, and I know the tradition in Vidor is not one to brag about. But take a step back, I know when I was in school, the football team was a joke. I look now and see where we have come in the last several years, it's night and day. I will agree with some, we do need to change our offensive scheme. The wing-t isn't working. Vidor has the talent just like Nederland, Lumberton, and the rest of the schools, we just need to find the right scheme that works for the talent we have. So please, stop with the witch hunt!! Players come on the board and read these threads. We don't need to be underminding all their hard work! How would you like it if someone can to your workplace and pointed out all your mistakes. Show some respect and be a true fan!
