Livingston Lions Last season was by far the best that the Livingston Lions have had in the last 40 years. The Lions finished 10-3 and made it to the 3rd round of the playoffs before falling to Dayton 43-0. They now join a tough district 20-4A with the likes of PN-G, Nederland, Beaumont Central and Lumberton among others. Livingston returns 10 total starters that will try to get them into the playoffs in a very stout district. The Dallas ISD's Office of Professional Responsibility released findings of an internal investigation that concluded allegations of improper grade changing for the school's Class 4A state championships in the 2004-05 and 2006-07 seasons were unfounded. "I'm pleased with the outcome of the investigation," Mays said. "I'm glad they took a thorough look." DISD superintendent Michael Hinojosa said in a news release it is gratifying to see administrators, teachers, coaches and athletes respected the rules. A previous investigation that concluded earlier this year determined improper grade changing took place during South Oak Cliff's 2005-06 season. The DISD notified the University Interscholastic League of its findings in January and forfeited the state title. In March, South Oak Cliff won its third state title in the last four years, rallying to defeat Fort Worth Southwest, 80-77, in Austin.
