1. Did not know there was a Lady Marauder team in Lumberton. Are you associated with OOC?
2. Congrats to both teams and all the players on both teams for a great tournament this weekend. Always nice to see two Golden Triangle teams in the finals in a Louisiana Tournament. Once again a great team effort by all!!! Looks like a YG / Crush final is becoming very common in every tournament.
3. WOW!!!! Another great summer showcase put on by Stars over Texas (AKA Ronnie and Nara)!!! I know there will be some quality teams there and alot of College Coaches. (Think you could sneak a 14U team in on this one?) Young Guns Softball
4. I heard this camp was awesome last year!!!! Love to see all of the area sofball players sign up for this great experience. Young Guns Softball Organization

6. Nice Job Thunder!!!! The cool thing is, next time you will be playing for FREE!!!!! Keep it up!!!!
7. Well I normally do not comment about things like this but I feel the need to do so. First of all I think everyone needs to read in the rule books what OBSTRUCTION truly is. This was a "prime" example of why the rule is in the rule book in the first place. The catcher was called for OBSTRUCTION because she was set up to receive the ball, in the base line, about 2 feet from home plate. Contact was made with the runner "before she received the ball" hince both umpires agreeing on the "OBSTRUCTION" call. You can argue the point all you want and I have had it called both ways and been on the loosing end of this call several times but in the end its all about the decision that was made by two "veteran" umpires. I think the umpires did a fine job all weekend long. I ,for one, have learned "in the heat of the moment" it's all about how you present yourself to the umpires and any softball coach and umpire knows that.
8. Thanks for a well run tournament!!!! Look forward to supporting GT local tournaments in the future!! FYI......Special  thanks to your field crews....You might look into doing the field work for all the local tournaments!!!  HAHA
9. Sounds like a great idea......I wonder why this has just became an option? No matter the reason ...I am glad to see LU Sports on local TV. I wonder if this will affect ticket sales in the future...? How many other schools in our conference have TV coverage like this?
10. Does anyone know if Fox 4 will be showing multiple sports next year or will it be strictly for Football...?
11. Great Job!!!  Way to bring the trophy back to the Golden Triangle!!!! Sounds like the 12U bracket for this weekend at ford park will be stacked with tallent.
12. The Orangefield 14U Young Guns go undefeated in the Texas Thunder tournament beating Orange Crush in the finals 2 to 1. Great job ladies!!!! Just shows what hard work and dedication to your team and to the game can do!! Keep it up!!
13. Maybe Mike Deane is coming back to Beaumont????? Heard he is available...LOL
14. I was wondering maybe we need to ask the question why is it that not all local teams are playing in local tournaments, if the tournament is posted on the tournament sites well in advance and also if local teams are not playing or signing up early....what needs to be done (if anything) to entice local teams and teams from out of the area to sign up early? Could it be that some local teams don't want to play other local teams or play them over and over again? If not what is the problem and how do you fix it? Just a question....I am not saying anything is wrong with how local tournaments are run....we have allways found a way to schedule local events first at least a month or two in advance then fill in the schedule with out of the area tournaments. Keep in mind this only works well until the college exposure, State tournaments and Nationals kick of strong.
15. Way to go Crush!!! Heard you guys were undefeated going into the ship.....GREAT JOB!!! Way to represent the area well against 17 highly talented teams. Keep up the hard work!!!
16. The Young Guns would like to thank everyone that was involved and all the teams that played, for your support in making this a very successful tournament. There was alot of quality softball that was played and enjoyed by all. Thank you again for your support. Congrats to 10U GT Shockers, 12U Thunder and 14U Crush on your championships!!!! Also....Congrats to McKenzie from Thunder and Taylor from Crush on winning the homerun derby's. Watch out for these two kids in the future...should be putting up big homerun numbers in the near future!!! I also noticed that several teams are hosting tournaments in the next few months...lets all get out and support these groups to make these local tournaments be successful and bigger and better.
