I'm going to try to make it out the the scrimmage Tuesday night.
when and what time will the scrimmage be tuesday?
Last I heard it was 4:30 at Nederland
Florida will be #2, Indiana #1. Miami should be top 5 they are undeafeted (8-0). If Duke had that same record they would be #1. Smh
They lost to Florida Gulf Coast and Indiana St!!!! I've heard of Indiana St. mainly becuase of Larry Bird, but Florida Gulf Coast sounds like a team on Lamar Port Arthur's schedule. The Arizona loss isn't bad, but no way a team should be in the top 5 in the country with losses to 2 teams that I've barely heard of.

What does Warren have coming back that would warrant them being #2 in your poll? -

They will be scary come tournament time
LMAO! Wanna make a lil wager on that? Florida will not make the Final Four, they choke come Elite 8 time. ;)
Florida is the real deal. Just watch They will be #1 or #2 after tomorrow

SETXSports first ranking of the season will be coming out soon. These rankings are always tough since we don't know much about how the teams are looking in practice. We haven't heard much from 19-4a as well as some other districts. Give me your Top 15 Big School(5a-3a) and your Top 10 Small School(2a-private)

Alot of kids out there can throw hard but cant throw strikes.
College coaches all think they can fix location. You can't teach 90+ Admin will tell you a story of a kid some years back from SFA I believe. Kid had one of the best arms you've seen but couldn't hit the broad side of a barn. At the Babe Ruth World Series in a blowout game a pro scout saw the kid warming up and asked if he pitched. Admin put him in the game and the first pitch was halfway up the backstop at 96 mph. All of the scouts came running to a kid that couldn't pitch but had an amazing arm. He signed a pro contract on the spot without any college scholarship offers. In HS velocity is overratted but as far as scouts go, that is the main thing they look for.
and how many games did he play as pro.. 8)
He didn't play any but he got a decent little signing bonus. Considering his other options this was a great deal for him. I've brought kids to a few of the Perfect Game individual showcases over the years. When taking infield they have a gun on you and record your velocity across the diamond. Our kids were fielding ground balls and making a play as you normally would, getting the ball out of their gloves and making a good throw. I noticed watching some of the other kids that they would field the ball, get set then crow hop throwing as hard as they could without any clue where the ball was going. These kids were trained in this drill at how to get the highest velocity possible. When the times all came out all that it shows is one kid threw 90 and one threw 84. Scouts see that number on the PG website not where the ball went. I learned a lot that first time I went just watching other kids and seeing the small tricks they did to look better on paper. Some of their select coaches had trained them in these drills and it showed.

PNG - Solid team, all around hitting, solid pitching, if holes filled with right personnel defensively, see them on top, until we see how those positions were replaced, PNG is the wildcard to win district IMO. 2. Vidor - Good pitching, solid defense, very easily could be district favorites, if missteps are made by PNG and NED. 3. NED - Great return with Duplant, however, Ned bats couldn't get it done for Brown last year. Lack of offense is Nederland's achilles heel. IF we can find some bats (graduated solid hitters) and string offense together, could easily win district with the amount of pitching on team. Defense needs to be more solid, errors were killers last season. Doesn't matter how great of pitching you have, if you can't field a ball. 4. Ozen/LCM - Never count out LCM and Ozen has risen in its ability to play baseball in 20 4A. Really, I think it could be a toss up, it'll be interesting to see who wants it the most.
1. PNG 2. Vidor 3. LCM 4. Ozen/Livingston
Hmmm.......

A&M is young but getting better. They lost to Saint Louis and Southern this year and didn't really have a decent win until today. Their next game against #11 Florida will be a good measuring stick.
-
Big win on the road at Rupp in their first SEC road game! A&M 83 Kentucky 71 Elston Turner with 40 points. A&M is now 12-3 on the year.
